Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have been granted a divorce.
The Blurred Lines singer separated from his childhood sweetheart in February 2014 after nine years of marriage and 21 years together. The actress filed for divorce in October citing 'irreconcilable differences' and on Wednesday it was confirmed that her application had been granted.
TMZ reported that the 39-year-old supplied legal documents on March 17 declaring that she and her former spouse had reached a property settlement and a custody agreement regarding their four-year-old son Julian.
While the exact details remain private, the outlet believes that Paula is getting primary custody and that the terms of spousal and child support have also been agreed between both parties.
However the divorce will not be finalised officially until April 14.
The former couple first began dating in 1993 after Robin asked 16-year-old Paula to dance at an under-21 hip-hop club in Los Angeles.
But shortly before the couple split, Robin's behaviour had been called into question.
The video to Blurred Lines raised eyebrows thanks to the scantily clad models parading around him and his performance with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards got people talking when the 22-year-old started twerking provocatively.
The final straw seemed to be when a photo emerged of Robin seemingly touching a fan's butt at the same awards ceremony.
After their separation was announced, the singer made several attempts to win his wife back, even recording an album called Paula to declare his love for her, but was unsuccessful.
Neither star has yet commented on the latest development in their divorce.
