SLAMMED: Paloma hit out at The Voice

In a previous interview ahead of last year's series Paloma revealed show bosses had been desperate to hire her instead of the Hot Right Now singer but she shot down their advances.

“Yes they did offer me The Voice but I didn’t feel it was right," she explained to Daily Star Online.

“I don’t like the idea of eliminating people because I don’t feel confident enough about my own abilities to judge any body else.

"The Voice is about rejection and battles.”

Awkward – guess BBC bosses have managed to changed her mind then.

While we don't know exactly what caused Paloma's change of heart we can't help but wonder if the pay packet helped sweeten the deal.

It is rumoured judges can fetch massive six-figure salaries with Will.i.am reported to have pocketed £600,000 per series while ditched judge Sir Tom Jones is said to have collected a cool £300,000.

Speaking about her new role, Paloma said: “I’m really excited about working with creative people who are there not just to be great singers, but also innovative personalities and performers.

"I have a long history of helping break artists as in my club nights I booked Kate Nash, Adele, and The Noisettes before they hit the big time, and four of my band members have gone on to pursue successful solo careers.

"I’m really looking forward to getting my teeth into something that cultivates the talents of another person and takes the focus off myself for a bit.”

JAILBIRDS: The gang reportedly hacked prison laptops (pictured posed by model)

The Ministry of Defence computers were hacked by an Eastern European criminal and used to ship a ton of heroin and ketamine to Britain, according to reports.

It's understood the gang were given the computers under a taxpayer-funded scheme meant to help them prepare for legal cases.

But a coded memory stick smuggled into the jail by one of their girlfriends allegedly helped them disable the security features.

They then chatted to overseas contacts – who reportedly placed the illegal drugs on shipping containers travelling from Asia to Britain.

The kingpins also allegedly paid a "fixer" more than £1million to get himself convicted of fraud and sent to their prison to oversee the operation.

And a corrupt officer at Wandsworth Prison in London even helped the gang by giving them a phone, according to the Independent.

A prison spokesman said: "Prisons are required to provide secure laptops to a minority of offenders facing trial so they can view legal material relating to their case.

"The computers do not enable prisoners to access any other part of the National Offender Management Service system and internet access is disabled.

"We will always take action against those attempting to break the rules and offenders face prosecution if they use equipment inappropriately."

After appearing in "Dirty Vibe" with DJ-producer Diplo, 2NE1's Lee "CL" Chaerin has debuted her second English music video with "Doctor Pepper."

On Friday, the official YouTube channel for Diplo's record label Mad Decent uploaded the music video, which also features RiFF RAFF and OG Maco. So far, reactions have singled the distinct differences between her K-pop image with 2NE1 and that of her English collaborations.

Originally released on May 22, "Doctor Pepper" was reportedly inspired by tension between Diplo and CL after the former missed a recording session.

"Diplo canceled a session on me and I was so mad at him," said CL to The Fader. "I was drinking a can of Doctor Pepper and wrote the song so I could go home as soon as possible. Diplo ended up loving it."

Over the weekend, CL joined Mad Decent Block Party (MDBP) in Brooklyn, New York alongside performers like Skrillex, Diplo and OG Maco. According to the YG Entertainment blog YG-Life, she "owned the stage with her unique and charismatic rapping style."

Founded by Diplo's record label Mad Decent, the concert series will travel to Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and CL will reportedly perform at these stops as well.

Her working relationship with Diplo does not stop there, as the producer is reportedly heavily involved with her solo debut.

"I've been active in CL's first full-length album, mostly trying to find a right balance between glossy K-pop attitude and keeping CL positioned where she belongs-as the baddest coolest female out right now," said Diplo.

Earlier in the month, CL's Korean record label YG Entertainment confirmed that the rapper was filming two music videos in the month of August, signaling that her debut is inching closer and closer.

But for those missing CL's style as a 2NE1 member, YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk understands the sentiment.

"Seeing those girl groups, I thought myself. I really want to listen to 2NE1's music," said Yang according to YG-Life.

"You know, 2NE1 is a rare girl group who has a distinct and unique color. However, my focus is not on CL's imminent solo debut in the United States. I believe that CL's success in the country will give a good influence to 2NE1's comeback."

Oricon revealed on Wednesday that MYNAME’s new album, released on Tuesday, sold 34,879 copies in the first 24 hours, placing it first on the pop chart.

The MYNAME band members held a record release party on Tuesday, performing five songsfrom "I.M.G. - Without You"  to a crowd of 2,000 fans.

The group's first Japanese release, “We Are MYNAME” only made it to the third spot on Oricon's weekly chart listings. Their second album "Five Stars," made it to number two.

MYNAME was formed in 2011 by Fly To The Sky member Hwanhee. In 2012, the five-memberK-pop band made their Japanese debut.

They are currently promoting their single "Too Very So Much" in Korea.

Ever wondered what a unicorn tastes like? Well, it might be tough to come across such a fantastical treat, but Milwaukee odd-pop players Jaill certainly have us wondering about the flavour in the kinda-gross video supporting their Brain Cream track, "Change Reaction." 

The rather unusual animated video was put together by Ed and Helen Poser, and chronicles a bizarre love story that involves the evolution of man, the egg-based birth of a unicorn, and a devil-may-care attitude towards eating ice cream cones with your sweetie. 

On the whole, there's a bit of blood and a whole lot of weirdness to behold. 

"We brainstormed the concept together focusing on the chorus, 'my love is gonna destroy you again,' and came up with the idea of the boy stealing brain cream from the unicorn to improve himself but destroy the unicorn in the process," the band's Vinnie Kirchner explained in a statement. "When the boy shares the brain cream with the girl that he's fallen in love with she turns out to be a devil and he is destroyed. There's some greed in all of our love." 

Brain Cream is out now via Burger Records.

Madcap Alexander Semenov has already registered over 200 weird inventions including a tank which fires human POO.

Now he has registered his patent for his sex doll idea with Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property.

And he reckons the bizarre weapons could be unleashed on the enemies of Russia - including Britain.

The scientist, from Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University, believes it might confuse the enemy if dolls land near real paratroopers.

He says foreign troops would not know the real troops from the false ones.

A famous hoax during the second World War led many to believe that Adolf Hitler had ordered the production of thousands of the saucy toys.

Called the Borghild Project, they were to be made from plastics and distributed to the German troops in France to try and stop them from contracting venereal disease.

THE NEW ARNIE: Dolph Lundgren will play role originally made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger in remake

The straight-to-DVD follow-up to the 1990 comedy original which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger has recently begun filming in Vancouver, Canada.

Taking the lead role of the Arnie's policeman posing as a teacher, is none other than Dolph Lundgren of Masters Of The Universe fame.

The reboot is written by David H Steinberg (American Pie 2) and directed by Tremors 5: Bloodlines's Don Michael Paul.
