Chelsea FC's doctor Eva Carneiro has been tipped to appear on the next series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The medic has been at the centre of controversy after being banned from the bench during matches in the aftermath of manager Jose Mourino publicly blasting her for running onto the pitch to attend to an injured player.
Now, Paddy Power has suggested she could capitalise on the recent attention by making the jump from the training ground to the house, putting it at odds of 12/1.
A spokesman for the bookmakers said: "I was certain Ramadel Falcao was going to be first out the door at Stamford Bridge but it looks like poor old Eva has beat him to it.
"It's not all doom and gloom though - we've seen punters backing her for a stint on CBB."
Eva has received support from both the public and the world of football after she was called onto the pitch by the referee in the final minutes of Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Swansea at the weekend in order to treat Eden Hazard.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Mourino said: "Dr John Fearn and Dr Eva Carneiro will not be on the bench, but doesn’t mean for rest of season. My decision [this weekend] does not mean they won’t be on the bench in the future.”
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is amongst those who have spoken out in her defence, as he insisted that "the rules are clear".
He said: "Trust and unity inside a club makes a strength. That story at Chelsea, I have not followed that. I do not have great interest in what’s going on.
“Secondly the rules are clear, when the ref give indication for the medics to come on they can come on. After that, in this situation, I don’t know. But the rules are quite clear. The referee makes the decision.”
