Atmosphere "The Shit That We've Been Through"

Minneapolis rap vets Atmosphere put their hooks in the water last month with the release of Fishing Blues, but a new video for album cut "The Shit That We've Been Through" focuses on a different type of sharp object.


Directed by Andrew Melby, the video takes a look at a tattoo being worked on by artist Eric Eckert of SoCal Tattoo. The inspiration, of course, comes from the song's lyrics "A little ink with a kiss and a wink."

Fishing Blues is out now through Rhymesayers Entertainment, while Atmosphere kick off a Western Canada stretch of their North American tourtonight in Winnipeg. Watch the video for "The Shit That We've Been Through" in the player below.

Beach Slang "Atom Bomb"

Philadelphia-based indie punks Beach Slang are set to deliver their sophomore LP A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings later this month, and that's exactly what gets expressed in the new clip for "Atom Bomb."

 
The video features shaky, vintage-tinged camera work that captures a young couple who constantly switch between screaming matches and make-out sessions.

Dakota - 'Long Hot Summer'

One of the things about summer is that you don’t realise how special it is until it begins to disappear over the horizon.

The audio is already a smash online, with Sami flying out to France for the subsequent video shoot.

Filmed by the mountains and lakes of Annecy in France, the clip is hazily beautiful and entirely inspiring.

Christine And The Queens - 'Saint Claude'

A lot can change in a year.

At the beginning of 2016 the UK was still firmly in the EU, with all opinion polls pointing towards a flop from the Brexit camp.

At the same time, Christine And The Queens was a little known French project, debut album 'Chaleur Humaine' lingering on the release schedule.

Fast forward just a few months and 'Chaleur Humaine' has spent ten weeks in the UK Top Ten, propelled in no small part by some incredible visuals.

New single 'Saint Claude' has been unveiled, and clip finds Heloise Letissier taking centre stage.

Simple yet dynamic, her moves recall the fluidity of Michael Jackson while being lost in an intensity that is all her own.

'Signal' sparks his return, and it's a rich, atmospheric return, all slo-mo vocals and delicious synths that pour out of the speakers.

Milla Jovovich takes charge of the visuals, with the actress also placing herself at the centre of the clip.

Filmed in monochrome, the slowly evolving video utilises just one continuous shot.
