Remtrex rose to prominence in 2017, when the Birmingham rapper became a Youtube star, whilst being in prison. He even was imprisoned for a further nine months for creating a music video whilst being an inmate at HMP Birmingham. Nonetheless, the anticipation for the rapper to be released from prison, and to make music was immense.

In anticipation for the rapper to release his album “Bars From The Pen”, which is out on 24th August 2018, the rapper has released a freestyle video for Link Up TV.

The visual is very much in the sale of old freestyle videos, adding to the gritty and authentic feel of the visual. Remtrex is pictured with the mandem, where some of their faces cannot be seen; this adds to the rappers menacing and hard flow. Remtrex has an unbelievably slick yet incredibly cold flow. His bars never lack wit, dropping one liners such as “I might be free nowadays, but my insides are trapped”. His unapologetic nature is highlighted in bars such as “You ain’t got anything interesting in your mind, that’s why you get no views”. The rapper definitely has many interesting things in his mind, and he is bound to blow up.

YouTube star Arya has come forward with a very wavey song in the form of ‘Foreign Linen’ with an excellent beat this one is very catchy. We can’t ignore the video which makes the song even better. Arya goes straight in with some lyrics and looks fly while doing it.

‘Foreign Linen’ is certainly a song to be played in the whip, it’s got that sort of sound on it and Arya really does come through with some wavey lyrics. Arya makes use of the range rover and shows off his clothes throughout the video. Arya is finessing on the track ‘Foreign Linen’ and really looks like a natural while doing it.

The video see’s Arya wake up from his dream and rush off the train. The video really does match the song well and Arya should be very proud of himself. The video itself was directed by The mechanics and they killed it.

‘Foreign Linen’ is a song that will be in my playlist for the simple reason I like this song, if you like this song don’t be swayed by other people’s opinions. Arya has spent time and made himself a tune.

Supercloud has come good with a new track called ‘No Long Talk’ and this one has something very special. The beat makes you want to go on holiday and the boys come through with some good lyrics. ‘No Long Talk’ is a song perfect for those sunny days, both June and Enz kill it with this one, showing some bare energy in the video. Supercloud have come together and helped make a sound of the summer with ‘No Long Talk’

The video is another thing that captures the eye, with the lads enjoying themselves and getting some great shots of a holiday location. Both June and Enz work in perfect harmony together and create a special type of vibe.

This is my 100th article for Link Up TV and I couldn’t think of a better song for it to be on. From start to finish Supercloud have some pure energy in ‘No Long Talk’

‘No Long Talk’ has everything from a classic beat to some modern lyrics and it really does work well through the speakers. Congrats to June and Enz for killing it on this one.

North London rapper Genesis has dropped the visuals to his latest track ‘In The Morning’, produced by Rago Art and featuring close friend and South London based rapper M Flex, exclusive to Mixtape Madness.

After taking a short break from music last summer, Genesis channelled his energy back into his craft giving us the ultimate summer vibe in this latest drop, delivered through an extremely catchy hook and refreshing instrumental. Laying down the chorus in just 5 minutes, Genesis knew straight away that M Flex was the most suitable fit for a feature on the track, especially after discovering how much chemistry they had in and out of the booth.

This is the first we are seeing of M Flex, who has been continuously encouraged by his peers to get in the studio, and we are certainly impressed by his presence on the track as well as the Bonez, NirothadJ and 2T directed visuals. With a bank of music under his belt, we hope to be seeing a lot more of M Flex in the upcoming months. Genesis however, has a few more projects on the way this year and we are definitely looking forward to more bodies of work to come.
