YBN’s latest breakthrough artist YBN Cordae comes through with a reply for the old school rappers as he lets us know his views on the Hip-Hop game, tackling J. Cole’s ‘1985’.
Cordae raps from the younger generation’s perspective and shares some knowledge being a newcomer in the rap game. He also lets the older generation know not everyone is perfect, taking shots at R. Kelly whilst also showing love to the legendary Mos Def.
YBN Cordae’s lyricism and delivery shows the young folk still have it and is a good reply to J. Cole. Cole dropped ‘1985’ off his new album K.O.D which was released at the end of April, and saw the Dreamville rapper give advice to the likes of Lil’ Pump and SmokePurpp, artists who talk heavily on the use of drugs such as percocet. J. Cole talks on how new artists should manage their money better and how touring is key to staying successful in the rap game.

Lady Leshurr has a debut album on the way—and if her latest single is anything to say for the project, it’s going to be awesome.
The weather is changing for the better, Summer is fastly approaching, and the world is in dire need of good vibes—now more than ever. Great music can help us get our energy right, and, Birmingham-raised talent, Lady Leshurr has blessed us with just that—with her hot new track, entitled ‘OMW’.
‘OMW’ is short for ‘on my way’, and Lady Leshurr says that all you’ve got to do is hit her up—and she’ll be on her way. The new single is the first track from the artists debut album, ‘Unstable’, that will be dropping in Summer, 2018. The rhythm of the track is sweet—blending island vibes, with her natural Birmingham sound, to create a feel-good anthem for the Summertime. She’s singing, dancing, and smoothly turning up—to showcase that she’s having a good time!
The exciting, and cleverly shot, visuals, directed by Daniele Cernera, were shot in Australia, and capture the feel of the song perfectly. People are enjoying themselves, whether they’re riding quad bikes, or getting their dance on in the club—and that positive energy is infectious.
‘OMW’ is a fun-loving track, which shows another side to the artists talents. She’s switched up the sound, but it’s still the same Lady Leshurr—who can put people from all walks of life into high-spirits with her music. It deserves a spot on your playlist.

Tyler is back with another track, where she expresses gratitude for the rise in her life—because she prayed for ‘Days Like This’.
You may have heard of Tyler before, as she has been making music for a while, but frequently takes time between new releases—and then returns with an improved sound. ‘Days Like This’ is the latest release, which shows another side of Tyler. She’s reaping the rewards of her hard work, and thinks are looking up.
Tyler is known to switch up her style, and each one of her tracks is noticeably different. Her expression is versatile, yet she thrives on bettering her sound—and her latest style is an enjoyable example of that. With an effortless delivery, and meaningful lyricism, Tyler gives listeners an insight into her life. She prayed to be where she is today, and she’s proud—and so she should be.
‘Days Like This’ visuals are relaxed, and consist of shots that see the free-spirited artist enjoying her own company, whilst spitting her bars—alongside behind the scenes footage of her journey on the road to success. She’s been performing at shows across the country—making it quite clear to see how things are looking up. But she is still the same Tyler, with the quick, and witty, one-liners that we enjoy!
Tyler is talented—no doubt about it, and as she continues to push forward on her musical journey, we look forward to hearing more music.

‘BILLIONAIRE’ IN NEW VISUALS

Ads by Kiosked
Squeeks releases the new ‘Billionaire’ visuals—that are new to us, but over four years old to him, and his timing couldn’t be better.
Over time things change—and in music those changes are rapid. New artists enter the scene, and some of those that we’ve grown listening to have—basically—retired. It’s always great, however, when artists that we don’t get to hear from as much anymore, for different reasons, come back: with new tracks and visuals.
In this case it’s slightly different from normal, but great all the same. Squeeks, one of the rappers that many of us grew up listening to, may not be around at the moment, but he’s still managing to release music, and pre-recorded visuals for tracks that he knew his fans would love. ‘Billionaire’ is one of those tracks, and the timing of it’s visual release is bang on.
‘Billionaire’ feels like an open letter, and that’s the type of music that Squeeks makes. He isn’t shy to share his emotions, instead he’s refreshingly open—and faces his painful truths, in order to spread a message to others. He’s been through some hard times, and so have many of us, and the stress that comes with that is very much a real fight—internally. It is much more painful to hold it in, but requires a lot of bravery to let it out. Squeeks showcases strength, as well as talent—let that inspire you.
The track, produced by RXR, has a smooth G-Funk styled beat, which makes Squeeks’ delivery even more intense. It’s smooth, and relaxing, yet he’s saying a lot. Sit down for a moment—and really take this one in. ‘Billionaire’ is a powerful track—and we hope to hear more of Squeeks’ music in the future.
Check out the ‘Billionaire’ visuals above, and let us know what you think about the track.
