AURORA "Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Aurora
She’s undoubtedly one of the most charismatic and engaging performers out there, and today Aurora returns to unveil a strikingly sparse and moving video for her track ‘Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)’.
The song is gentle and haunting, hosting a delicate melody over which Aurora narrates a poignant, heartbreaking tale. ‘Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)’ typifies the honest and upfront songwriting style that we’ve come to expect from this much-beloved Norwegian performer, after hearing tracks such as ‘Running With The Wolves‘ and ‘Runaway‘. With minimal instrumentation, and soft backing vocals provided by bandmate O. Martin, Aurora is granted an open space in which to air her dramatic, acrobatic voice and her vivid, evocative imagery.
We were lucky enough to have Aurora join us for a fantastic Ja Ja Ja performance at The Lexington last year, and London-based fans with a longing to see her again are in luck – because she’ll be returning to the UK to play at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on the 18th September.
For now though, settle in and watch the butterflies flutter around Aurora’s new video, and make sure to check out her latest EPRunning With The Wolves for an even deeper glimpse into the musical mind of this rising star.

LISA ALMA "Fern" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

start_bild_lisa
Denmark’s Lisa Alma put out Sweater a few months ago, an album full of smooth, slick songs that effortlessly borrowed from and blended several genres into a excellent collection of alt-pop songs. And now she’s released the video for the latest single from the album, ‘Fern’.
‘Fern’ is  a breathy, tense piece of electronic soul, and Alma has clearly put the effort in to produce an equally compelling video, which she has written, produced and directed herself. The video itself is an exploratory journey through various forms of imagery, from stark, oppressive white backdrops to skin pressing against cold plastic, and a nod to Lara Stone’s i-D cover.
Alma is also playing Ja Ja Ja Germany’s club nights this September, along with Hey Elbow and Axel Flóvent. The shows will take place at Molotow in Hamburg on September 9th and at Fluxbau in  Berlin on September 10th – you can buy tickets for both here.
Sweater is out now on Dumont Dumont Records.

AZIATIX "Top Of The World" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Though global hip-hop group Aziatix is currently taking a break from promotions, lead rapper Jay ′Flowsik′ Pak has been busy working on new music - and he′s showing the world what he′s capable of!

On August 26, Flowsik updated his Youtube with a new video featuring the making of his upcoming track, Higher Plane, all of which was written, composed and produced by Flowsik himself.

The video, filmed in Flowsik′s home city of New York, shows the Flowsik working in the studio, doing everything from producing, singing and rapping.

According to Flowsik, the Higher Plane video is the first of many teasers to come, which will feature the new songs the artist has been working on.

He′s also been focused on writing, composing and producing his next project, and is aiming to show the eagerly waiting fans a better idea of how he works.

"I want to make good music that can influence and inspire others to be confident in their passion and talents," said Flowsik to Mwave. "I find myself alone in the studio working. Maybe it′s because my way of thinking and creativity is something most can′t understand...which is what inspired me to write this record."

WONDER GIRLS "I Feel You" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Before Psy, there was the Wonder Girls. The girl group was the first indication that K-pop could become a "thing" in America when their super-catchy, retro-tinged single "Nobody" crossed over in 2009, making the gals the first K-pop act to land a hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite being icons in Korea, the ladies pushed on with various degrees of success overseas until quietly announcing a hiatus after releasing their last album in 2012.

But the time off has led the Wonder Girls to refresh the act and the sound. Original members Sun and Sohee have left the group, but Sunmi (who left in 2010) is back, making the act a quartet. Not only that, but the team is showing their musical talents by becoming a legitimate band-band for new single "I Feel You."
The comeback single is an '80s-inspired, synth-pop spectacular with all the marking of a rock hit from the time. There's booming drums (played by rapper Yubin), a Eurythmics-like dance breakdown and, yes, even a keytar. The accompanying video looks like something played on the good days of early MTV as vintage-looking clips are spliced in between the girls rocking out in retro swimsuits.
It's an excellent comeback from the Wonder Girls, who prove that they can still keep their throwback sound, but do so in a totally refreshed way, making them just as exciting as ever. Welcome back, girls.

DIET CIG "Dinner Date" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Diet Cig"Dinner Date" (video)
Based out of the New York college town of New Paltz, dynamic garage-pop duoDiet Cig have just unveiled a new video for their recently shared single "Dinner Date."

The pair previously proved their penchant for quirky, fun-filled clips with"Scene Sick," and the streak continues with their latest. The new video sees a black-and-blue Alex Luciano challenging — and annihilating — seemingly tough dudes in what seems to be a rather lucrative underground arm wrestling ring.

Watch her take down the competition while singing about a terrible night out in the bad-ass new clip for "Dinner Date" below. The track appears on the "Sleep Talk" single, which is due out on September 18 via Father/Daughter

A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS "Now It's Over" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

A Place to Bury Strangers"Now It's Over" (video)
Brooklyn noise rock shoegazers A Place to Bury Strangers released their Transfixiation album early this year, and now that that's all over they've shared a video for "Now It's Over."

The clip utilizes a diverse spread of animation styles to create a noirish, eclectic look. It was directed by Dave Merson Hess, who shared the following statement about its creation:

I loved the mood of 'Now It's Over', and the way the lyrics and arrangement captured the feeling of a breakup as a complete destruction of a particular, insular reality, a way of living being ripped apart at the seams, on both vague and sudden terms. Film noir felt like a perfect match for it. The inevitability of failure built into the genre fit the song's lyrics, murky, reverbed vocals, and jagged guitar sounds.

Watch the video for "Now It's Over" below.

DREAM JEFFERSON "Light Therapy" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*
Dream Jefferson"Light Therapy" (video)
On their latest album 32X, Ottawa-born, Toronto-based unit Dream Jeffersonmoved away from their "party-rap" label and instead embraced a more encompassing "new wave electro hip-hop" tag. The group are set to unveil a new video for "Light Therapy" from that record, and Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere.

The song features guitar work from PS I Love You axe master Paul Saulnier, while the clip was filmed in Saint Petersburg by Igor Ustinovich & Julia Simakova — a pair of fans and visual artists whom Dream Jefferson have never actually met.

It stars Alexander Chernetskiy; shots of him staring into a fish tank, looking up to the sky and eventually submerging himself in a bath are edited to move along with the brisk pace of the track. The results are an abstract yet engaging watch, and you can see the final product in the player below.

If you want to catch Dream Jefferson live, they'll be performing on August 29 at Rancho Relaxo in Toronto.

WINDIGO "It Goes On" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Windigo"It Goes On (In My Mind)" (video)
Psychedelic indie popsters Windigo dropped their latest release The Disco EPearlier this summer, but they're already looking ahead to the release of their debut full-length early next year. The Calgary band have just completed some accompanying visuals for the brand new single "It Goes On (In My Mind)," and Exclaim! is giving you the exclusive first look at the video.

The track is bolstered by the back-and-forth vocals of Anthony Kameka and Jen Severtson, while Mitchell Cooper and Barry Mason round out the lineup, making for a unit that delivers intricately arranged rhythms, jangly guitars and rich, layered vocal harmonies.

The visuals, meanwhile, feature a live performance from the band. The camera circles around the band as they play, before the footage erupts into kaleidoscopic effects and colourful lighting tricks in the latter half of the clip.

Windigo's self-titled debut LP is set for release on January 22, but you can get an early idea of what it will be like by watching the video premiere of "It Goes On (In My Mind)" in the player below.

"Conspiracy Theory" with Lou Finkle (BIGFOOT)

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*

This is Lou Finkle...and THIS is Conspiracy Theory

Today we're going to discuss if BIGFOOT breaking in my house and using my toothpaste.

Now, I was at the Wal-Mart the other day and bought a two pack of Crest with baking soda and I got it on sale. Jerry was there today and he overcharged me for a hot dog. So, I set him straight about that he gave me a free one. That Jerry is a good guy. My wife looked at me and said "How the Hell is Bigfoot using your toothpaste, Lou?"

I told her to go back in the kitchen and fix me a lemon-aid or something and leave me alone.

I'll tell 'ya how I KNOW it's Bigfoot. I was driving home through the woods as I do. Not that I enjoy the sights, but I like to keep away from the drones that's flying around spying on me. So, I'm driving through the woods and I see this hairy back guy standing in one spot. So, I stopped the car and called out "Hey, what're you doing out there?" He didn't turn around when I said that so I said "Hey, you're not one of them bigfeet are 'ya?" And that when he just ran off real fast.

So, when I got home, I saw this wood in front of the door. My wife says the stairs she told me to fix last week, but I said "No, that's not it. I know Damn well that's one of them bigfeet."

So, I woke up the next morning and went to brush my teeth and there it was...a used tube of toothpaste. That's when it occurred to me...it was Bigfoot!

He broke in my house in the middle of the night and started to brush his teeth with my Crest with baking soda. My wife tells me she's the one who used it, but she lies.

So, now I lock my toothpaste up and keep it under the bed...Where's it safe.

This is Lou Finkle...and THIS is Conspiracy Theory

"Conspiracy Theory" with Lou Finkle (CHEMICALS)

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*

My name is Lou Finkle...and THIS is Conspiracy Theory

CHEM TRAILS: Is the government making us listen to Elton John music.

Now, I talked to my wife and she says "Lou, Elton John is a talented man. Why would the government try to make us do that?" and I told her to go make me sandwich and leave me alone. I know what they're doing.

You only THINK he's talented, because that's what THEY want you to think. The guy wore a duck outfit on stage!

You see, how they're doing it is getting crop duster helicopters and then they spray the clouds with elephant urine. As you all know, elephant urine is the keep ingredient for mind control. The government experimented with it during World War 2 to defeat the Nazis.

History books don't put it in there, because the books are written by the government. Of course, THEY aren't going to tell you about elephant urine.

Now, the plan is bigger than you know. It's not just to accept alternative lifestyles or men in stupid clothes. No!

The plan is the British overthrow!...think about it.

The Beatles, Rod Stewart, Oasis, Rita Ora...do you know anyone who OWNS a Rita Ora album? You don't do 'ya. But, she's part of the Pop culture. And that's how easy it is. When you take over Pop culture, the next step is Nuclear secrets. Next thing you know there's a Limey in the White House!

Those sneaky bastards!

So. for the sake of everything American, watch out for elephant urine!

FICTONIAN "Little Blue Book" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*
Fictonian
Fictonian tends to stay in the shadows, placing his music in the foreground.
A songwriter of quite rare talent, the poetic flair evident in his lyrics is matched to a sweeping arrangement and a strong yet tender voice.
Debut album 'Desire Lines' will be released through Distiller Records on November 13th, the record is trailed by new track 'Little Blue Book'.
A wonderfully evocative piece of songwriting, Clash is now able to premiere the accompanying visuals. Of the video itself Fictonian says:
"I worked on it with an amazingly talented friend of mine Luke Atkinson, his videography really captures the story in the right way. A friends daughter, Molly, plays the role of the girl out exploring, this was her first time on camera and she was beyond amazing, and absolutely perfect to play the starring role. The story is basically all about the fact that the 'seeker' within us all, is the side of us that finds the treasure.'"

THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW "Illuminations" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

The King Khan & BBQ Show"Illuminations" (video)
As the King Khan & BBQ Show prepare to take their garage-hewn doo-wop tunes on tour this fall, they have given us a taste of what their rowdy shows might look like by sharing a video for the track "Illuminations."

In the clip for this fast and fuzzy garage pop tune from this year's Bad News Boys, we see the duo of King Khan and BBQ performing on a small stage while wearing rather daring, pseudo-leather daddy outfits. Two women dance along beside them, while a handful of bug-eyed puppets dance in the crowd.

Camerawork was handled by Stuart Simpson. Check out the clip below, and see the King Khan & BBQ Show's fall tour schedule here

JIM JAMES "Take Care Of You" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*
Jim James"Take Care of You" (video)
It's the Jim James/Owen Wilson team-up we've all been waiting for… sort of. A new video for "Take Care of You," the My Morning Jacket singer's contribution to the No Escape soundtrack, has been unveiled and features plenty of snippets from the thriller.

As you'll discover down below, James is strumming his guitar for the camera in much of the video, but the drama of the clip is mostly supplied by scenes from the political coup-leaning narrative of No Escape. Rather than spoil it for you, you can check out the tense collection of movie moments down below.

"Take Care of You" is available on the No Escape soundtrack, which is out now via Lakeshore Records. The movie is in theatres now.

ALEX G "Bug" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Alex G"Bug" (video)
DIY dude Alex G had already shared his song "Bug" from the upcoming albumBeach Music, and now it's gotten an accompanying music video.

While the song is a quirky indie-pop cut in keeping with the songwriter's homemade style, the accompanying video is more slick and cinematic. It depicts the romance of a slightly rough-living couple, and it's filled with paper cranes, fireworks, and quiet moments of lovestruck intimacy.

The clip was directed by Micah Van Hove. Check it out below.

Beach Music will be out on October 9 through Domino. See Alex G's North American fall tour schedule here

D.O.A. "Pipeline Fever" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

D.O.A."Pipeline Fever" (video)
As we learned earlier this year, D.O.A. are very much against pipelines. Now, the political Vancouver punk crew are promoting both their ideals and their new Hard Rain Falling LP with a video for "Pipeline Fever."

The video is presented as a newscast, with D.O.A. founder/vocalist Joe "Shithead" Keithley acting as an anchorman informing us on the ills of the oil companies. The broadcast has him delivering hard truths about companies willing to do just about anything to "get their stinkin' pipelines through," and showing footage of bitumen-soaked wildlife as further proof of "oil spill grief."

You'll find D.O.A.'s message down below. The band will also be spreading the word on an upcoming North American tour. You'll find the full date detailshere

MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS "Downtown" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis"Downtown" (ft. Eric Nally, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, Grandmaster Caz) (video)
Following Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' recent tribute track to Macklemore'sdaughter, the Pacific Northwest rap duo have delivered, easily, the best song about buying a moped you'll hear this week. You can get gassed up with the pair's "Downtown" right now.

The track takes on a early '80s NYC feel, with pre-programmed beats, electro synths and a steady cowbell coming together for a Grandmaster Flash-style arrangement. Fittingly, the track also features assistance from old-school rappers Melle Mel and Kool Moe Dee. What follows is a back-and-forth between Macklemore and a moped dealer, and a handful of bars that talk up the benefits of the vehicle over, say, a Ducati motorcyle.

A video finds the Seattle spitter riding around town on his newly acquired two-wheeler, and getting into b-boy posse brawls with a bunch of Warriors extras. You can see the clip down below.

LASER "Leaving It Too Late" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Laser"Leaving It Too Late" (video)
Lisa Lobsinger made a name for herself as a member of Broken Social Scene and Reverie Sound Revue, but with those groups (mostly) on hiatus, the singer is now heading up a new Toronto project called Laser. The video for their debut single, "Leaving It Too Late," has now arrived.

Laser features Lobsinger along with producers Paul Pfisterer (the Beauties) and Marty Kinack (Transistor Sound & Light Co). "Leaving It Too Late" describes a relationship that has passed its expiry date, and the arrangement builds up from dreamy creaks and twinkles to incorporate a buoyant dance beat. The accompanying visuals show Lobsinger singing along while being shrouded by disorienting coloured lights.

Laser have been working on an album in Kinack's remote forest studio outside of Toronto. "Leaving It Too Late" will appear on the LP.

The single officially drops tomorrow (August 28) on Foreseen Entertainment. Check out the video below, as well as a stream of the audio track. You can pre-order the song here on iTunes.

FANNY NAGUESHA likes Football

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*
Mario Balotelli and Fanny

First, the 25-year-old was sent back on loan to AC Milan this week after hardly playing a game for the Scouse side.
And now it seems his former fiancée has moved onto another footie ace.
Model  looks to be well and truly over her engagement to the flash star after hooking up with West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté.
And she has wasted no time supporting her £7million man after posing for a series of sexy snaps in his kit.

But this isn't the first time Fanny has posed for kinky pics.
No, the 23-year-old has been on the cover of French Vogue and met Cheikhou while in London for a photoshoot.
And we reckon bad boy Mario is fuming he let her slip through his fingers – especially to a rivalfootball star.
Speaking about the romance, a source told The Sun: “Fanny is very keen on Cheikhou. They have a lot in common and when she likes someone she really lets them know."
Cheikhou Kouyate.

"Conspiracy Theory" with Lou Finkle (BABIES)

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*

My name is Lou Finkle...and THIS is Conspiracy Theory

ANCHOR BABIES: Are space aliens taking over our planet?

Now, because of our elections here in the greatest country on Earth, America! And don't you forget it! A lot of people are talking about others coming across our border.

Well, I'm here to tell you there's a greater threat to America than immigrants...it's aliens from outer space taking our women hostage and impregnating them with their alien goo!

I first learned about this from my friend Bubba. He's a truck driver and he stays out on the road for months and months. And when he came back home, his wife had a baby.

Well, I went over there to say happy baby day or whatever you suppose to say and I looked it. And when I say it...damnit, I mean it! That was the ugliest baby I'd ever seen in my life. I turned to Bubba and asked him are you sure this baby is yours and not some swamp creature or somethin'?

He didn't take to kindly to that and punched me in the face.

I said "You can punch me all you want, but that kid isn't human...I think it's some kind of space alien baby. I'm getting out of here before it starts to anal probe."

You can't tell me them space aliens don't anal probe. I seen those movies. The space aliens come down from this ship and walks into a bar and the next thing you know...anal probe!

See, what they want to do is repopulate this planet with their alien hybrids and steal out natural resources. Now, I don't know what they want. It could be our rocks, it could be our water, it could be Jerry Seinfeld.

Yes, Jerry Seinfeld.

Those damn aliens would love to come to this planet and give Jerry Seinfeld an anal probe.

So, for the love of God, keep watching the sky. And keep an eye on Jerry Seinfeld's anus.

Cruise Bar's NAKED buffett

A bar in Sydney sparked outrage after using naked women as fruit platters.
Cruise Bar hosted a tropical-themed opening night party, and shared pictures of the women lying covered in fruit on social media.
They wrote on their Facebook page: "Amazing night to officially launch to the public. More pics to come tomorrow!"
However, members of the public weren't sure how "amazing" the party was after seeing the pictures of nude women being used as plates.
Jane Oakley wrote on the page: "Thanks Cruise Bar for so openly showing your contempt for women and contributing to the disgusting view that women's bodies are just a utensil. I won't be coming to your venue when I'm looking for a night out."
Ulrike ZImmerman shared a similar view: "Are you out of your minds? Serving food on women's bodies is not only tasteless but is also promoting a culture where women are objectified. This is the 21st century and it is NOT ok."
There were scantily clad male models at the event as well, but critics were quick to point out that they were not being used as mute objects. Nora Fries wrote: "They weren't lying on their backs like slabs of meat being offered to the public. And if they were, it'd be just as disgusting. It's not the nudity. It's the objectification of the human body, and for either gender, it's sickening."
We have reached out to Cruise Bar for comment.
