Friends of Serena Williams have reportedly warned her about getting too close to rapper Drake after the pair were pictured 'making out' over dinner.
Tennis ace Serena dated the singer back in 2011 and new pictures appear to show them giving their romance another shot.
Sources told gossip site TMZ Serena thinks the pair have a "good vibe" despite friends warning she could get hurt again.
But sources close to Drake insist that things are "different this time" and he has a lot of respect for the Wimbledon champ.
The chemistry between the pair looked obvious as they were spotted enjoying a smooch following Serena's win at the Women's Tennis Association tournament on Sunday.
Photographs appear to show the 33-year-old star sitting on the Canadian rapper’s lap in a private room at Sotto restaurant in downtown Cincinnati.
Both were dressed casually for the outing with Serena wearing a white tank top while Drake wore a grey hooded sweatshirt
According to the Daily Mail, a source said: “Publicly she says they're just friends but Drake has been by Serena's side throughout the tournament and when they've been away from the public and relaxed, it's been pretty obvious that they are together.
“Even Serena's team have been talking about it in the clubhouse to a few people they trust. She has been incredibly focused on her title bid. But if she's had a quiet moment she's spent it with Drake, even going to watch his Wireless set and having dinners in London.”
Drake kept his eye on Serena as she stormed to victory at Wimbledon, attending several games throughout the tournament and joining her family members.
Last year, Serena’s Oscar-winning ex-boyfriend – rapper Common – spoke about their relationship on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, where he appeared to claim that Serena and Drake had a thing going on.
Of his tennis champion ex, he said: "Me and Serena was together. We broke up. I don't know specifically her and Drake, it felt like obviously something was going on [after we broke up], I ain't dwell on it too much.
"I ain't have no problem with that, you do what you do. After a while I felt like in some of Drake's songs he was saying stuff that was subliminal to me."
In an interview with Complex magazine, Drake previously discussed his relationship with the sporting star, as he said: "She’s definitely in my and I’m in her life,” he added.
