A transgender protester has been arrested in after she stripped naked on a street in Hong Kong.
But this was no FEMEN protest – she was standing up against bad customer service.
Angel, 34, staged the one-woman protest at around 10.30am on Monday (24 August) outside the Billion Plaza in Lai Chi Kok, where Hewlett-Packard’s customer service center is located.
The woman told the Apple Daily that she spent more than HK$10,000 ($1290; €1121) on a new HP laptop that broke within half a month.
She took the computer in for repair, but the technicians told her they could not find any problems.
Angel then went to HP’s customer service center, but left unsatisfied with the staff’s attitude.
So she did what any rational human being would do – she took off all her clothes in protest.
Wearing only sneakers and a small black backpack, she held up a plastic sign demanding HP executives explain the ‘maintenance incident.’
But the protest only lasted 15 minutes. Staff called the police and Angel was arrested for indecent exposure.
She has been bailed and must report to a police station on 16 September.
