Still, a mobile mishap wasn't going to get this lady down, and she proceeded to totter around in skyscraper heels before indulging in a rather impressive contortion for a selfie session.

RUN THE JEWELS "Oh My Darling" release

The feline apocalypse has arrived! With rap hell-raisers Run the Jewels having just rolled out their cat-themed remix album Meow the Jewels, they've now shared a video for their Just Blaze remix "Oh My Darling (Don't Meow)." 

This version of the track, which places Killer Mike and El-P's rapping amidst a nightmarish soundscape of meows, serves as the soundtrack for a couple of Godzilla-sized kitties wreaking havoc in a miniature-sized version of New York City. They track a truck carrying catnip and ended up swatting helicopters out of the sky. 

The video was directed by Hectah. At the very end of the clip, we can see how it was made using toy cars and green screen buildings. 

The original version of "Oh My Darling (Don't Meow)" was called "Oh My Darling (Don't Cry)," and it appeared on Run the Jewels' outstanding 2014 album Run the Jewels 2. 

LADY GAGA "I Want Your Love" release *

Ever since Nile Rodgers appeared on Daft Punk's 2013 album Random Access Memories, his band Chic have enjoyed a resurgence of sorts, and now Lady Gaga has got in on the trend by covering the group's classic "I Want Your Love." 

Her cover is faithful to the version that appeared on Chic's 1978 album C'est Chic. Although the modern soundscape helps to give it a danceable, juiced-up boost, there's a distinct retro flair to the production that keeps this song within its disco-era wheelhouse 

Gaga recorded the cover for fashion designer Tom Ford's spring/summer 2016 line. Watch the Nick Knight-directed promo video for the line below; it features Gaga dancing and doing her best Blue Steel alongside a troupe of models wearing the clothes. 

ESKIMEAUX "Broken Necks" release

Brooklyn-based musician Gabrielle Smith has her fingerprints on a number of projects at the moment — from playing in Frankie Cosmos to running the Epoch artist collective to releasing music under her experimental monikerEskimeaux. The latter has recently heard Smith move from ambient noise to more structured indie-pop, and she's just unveiled a video for Eskimeaux track "Broken Necks." 
  
The infectiously catchy tune comes from her latest album O.K. and gets matched with visuals that open with Smith cruising around on a motorcycle before switching to a quirky, colourful ode to sugar cereal, books and stuffed animals. It all wraps up at sunset on a picturesque beach. 
  
O.K. is out now, while Eskimeaux's 2011 record Two Mountains is set to be reissued on October 23 via Yellow K Records. Watch the video for "Broken Necks" below.

A Michigan woman who worked as a topless dancer and was accused of participating in a plot to extort millions from a retired businessman in an upcoming trial has died mysteriously, the Detroit News reports.

Jessica Tackett, 25, who was described by prosecutors as a stripper and prostitute, died on Monday and the cause and manner of death is under investigation. She and her parents are accused of hatching a scheme to extort nearly $3 million from Paul Vagnozzi, 61, a retired software businessman. The trial is headed to federal court. “The determination of manner and cause has not been made yet pending further investigation,” a Medical Examiner’s Office spokesman told the News in a statement.

The Tacketts were indicted on a total of 119 counts of extorting Paul Vagnozzi out of $2.6 million after a “threesome” between Vagnozzi, 61, Tackett, then 18, and another teenager who was apparently not yet of age. Tackett’s father, Terry, allegedly threatened to make public the encounter with the underage girl.

Vagnozzi’s attorney later said the teen actually wasn’t underage at the time.

In a March interview, Jessica, who was indicted on one count, said she is a mother and made some bad decisions early in her life.

“I’m not a prostitute, I’m not a stripper, I’m a mother,” she told ClickOnDetroit in an interview. “We didn’t have much. I just got sucked into a lifestyle of dancing at a topless bar.”

She added her father may be in trouble, but “that’s his case. That has nothing to do with me.”

She said she didn’t know about the extortion and didn’t get any money from it.

“I feel used,” she said. “I just feel that I need justice too.”

She said she felt victimized. Jessica Tackett was the mother of a toddler.

The News reports Terry Tackett threatened to “beat up” Vagnozzi and have friends in the “mafia” and a motorcycle gang hurt him if he didn’t pay up millions to keep the encounter secret.

For 4 years, between 2008 and 2012, Vagnozzi gave Tackett the money which Tackett used to buy a home, Harley Davidson motorcycles, jet skis and lavish gifts for girlfriends.

They attempted to counter accusations against them by falsely accusing Vagnozzi of rape, the News reports. Terry Tackett allegedly threatened witnesses when the IRS began questioning his belongings, telling one woman he would lynch her if she spoke up. The family, including Jessica’s mother, Kimberly, also conspired to hide evidence from the grand jury investigating the case.

When asked about the charges by the News in March, Vagnozzi said, “I’ve moved on. I don’t really want to say anything.”

According to the Detroit Free Press, Terry Tackett is in federal prison and as of Thursday night hadn’t been told of Jessica’s death.
