New Zealand-born model Bailey Scarlett has claimed she had her drink spiked while hanging out with Justin Bieber and his friends on Sunday night in Melbourne, Australia.
In a now deleted Facebook post, the 18-year-old stated she became ill shortly after joining the star, his entourage and other models, at a recording studio in Cremorne.
There is no suggestion Justin was involved in the alleged incident and, according to sources close to the pop prince, CCTV shows Bailey's cup was not touched by anyone apart from herself.
Scarlett wrote that she had a vodka and lemonade drink on arrival, before being given another drink and doing a shot with Justin.
She claims to have quickly started feeling "light-headed" and "became incoherent".
The social media posts have since been deleted due to legal reasons, according to a friend of Bailey's who had been tagged in the initial statement.
She wrote on Facebook: "Apologies to everyone I had to delete my last post due to legal reasons.
"The matter has blown up big time and is now being left to the Police and legal experts. Thank you for everyone's help, support and well wishes for Bailey."
Victoria Police confirmed to the Herald Sun that paramedics had been called to an address shortly after 11pm and that a young woman was taken to hospital.
“At that address a woman told police that she believed her drink had been spiked,” police spokeswoman Melissa Seach said.
“The woman was conveyed to hospital for medical treatment and is advised to attend the Richmond police station to make an official report concerning the matter.”
Justin was in Oz to perform a small roof-top concert Southern Cross Austereo roof top in South Melbourne.
Alex McDonnell, who organized the event, told TMZ he believes the girl was having a panic attack.
Reps for Justin Bieber have been contacted for a comment.
