MINAH "I Am A Woman Too" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Girl's Day Minah shows off her classy self in her album covers for her solo debut!

The name of her first solo album is the same name as her title track, "I'm a Woman Too". The album covers released show a more mature side, contrasting from her usual aegyo-filled image, as if to tell us she isn't a girl anymore, but a woman!

On March 11, her company stated, "In the album pictorial, you'll be able to see four different concepts: cute, youthful, serious, and sexy."

Her solo album will be released on March 16. What do you guys think of her new concept?

Underground Pop: ALLIE X

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Pop music has always looked to a bubbling underground to adopt and co-opt emerging sounds — a process that's often thrilling to close listeners, but which at times can seem downright carnivorous. Today, though, with the digital age having shattered the music industry's control of both production and distribution, pop is increasingly eating itself.

Allie X is the latest in a line of emerging artists (like Lorde, Passion Pit and Grimes, to name a few) for whom pop is less a commercial aspiration than a sonic playground in which to play, a musical space now available to them in a manner not necessarily all that different from the Taylor Swifts and Katy Perrys of the world. Perry herself is an Allie X convert, tweeting her appreciation of the transcendent single "Catch" last year, but it's unlikely you'd find her in the sort of eye-masking, platform-spinning series of animated GIFs that helped introduce Allie X to the world. (Or re-introduced, that is, if you knew her as Allie Hughes during her time in Toronto's music scene).

Just as those GIF images are both stationary and in motion at the same time,CollXtion I exists in between its opposites: it's a record too short for an album but too long for an EP; the songs have a clinical coolness to them, yet they're performed with a warm and present immediacy; Allie's powerful voice takes on tones that seem both familiar and foreign at the same time; the record is obsessed with the physical body but bookended by secular salvation anthems; and, like all great pop records, CollXtion I finds a way to both fulfill and defy musical expectations, delivering on its melodic and rhythmic promises while still offering plenty of surprising, earworm-y flourishes along the way. This is a confident, catchy debut.

FRIDA SUNDEMO is "Dead"

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Montreal-based DJ/producer Half-truth dropped his unabashedly poppy self-titled EP back in the fall, then followed it up with his own edgier take on Brooke Williams' sugary single "You Got Game." Now, the musical manipulator has returned with another new track, this time taking on Frida Sundemo's "Dead," and Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere.

Sundemo hails from Sweden, and delivers pop music with a twist — not unlike the sounds of Sia or her fellow Swede Robyn. Building on the bare bones of piano and voice that comprise the original, Half-truth fills it in with synths, drums and organ.

He offered up the following statement about the inspiration and process behind the remix:

I saw her at SXSW and was really blown away and snuck backstage to introduce myself, then rearranged my schedule to see her again the next night at what I was told was a "bear bar" by a local. I started in on this remix when I got back to Montreal. The original track is really sparse — just electric piano and her voice. It was a really nice canvas to add drums and extra synths and an organ. I really wanted to get the chorus as big as possible, in a Lido or Rustie-kinda way, and I think I did that.

You can hear what that sounds like for yourself by giving his remix of "Dead" a spin in the player below.

YOUNG FATHERS "White Men Are Black Men Too"

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

All in all, Young Fathers' "Nest" is as catchy as any other pop song currently ascending the Top 40: its grooving rhythm is an undeniable force of nature; its hook is warmly singable, thanks to its rhyming of "sister" and "mister" amidst shouts of "Hey!" and a choir murmuring "Baby baby." But what's even more astounding is how snugly the tune fits on an album that is otherwise abrasively industrial, rife with fiercely spat hip-hop and occasionally reaching the far-flung corners of world music.

These are the vast hemispheres that Young Fathers traverse on White Men Are Black Men Too. And just because "Nest," the eighth of 12 tracks, is the most accessible point of entry, that doesn't make it a lull on the LP's rugged terrain. Consider it an oasis, or the eye of the hurricane, because the album otherwise gusts and bellows and downpours, electrifying all the while. Preceding track "Old Rock n Roll" has a taunting "nah nah nah" rhythm that slowly builds tension as MC Alloysious Massaquoi (who trades verses throughout the album with Kayus Bankole and Graham 'G' Hastings, who also produces) not only raps about his refusal to "blame the white man" but also assertively declares that a "black man can play" that Caucasian.

Young FathersWhite Men Are Black Men TooThe album's contrasting pop and experimental aesthetics collide on "Dare Me,"White Men's penultimate track. It opens with the kind of gentle crooning that fits on most power ballads, or at least on hazy, dark R&B, but its midway drop off into grinding lo-fi drones, rat-a-tat drum lines and harshly whispered raps about being "safely tucked in" by blankets "over your chin," is as terrifying and sadomasochistic as Trent Reznor's worst nightmare.

In less assured hands, these contradictions of genre, tone, and theme would capsize an album. Fortunately, Young Fathers have proven themselves to be more than capable of not only balancing all those elements, but also letting them budge just enough to make every song utterly unpredictable. Case in point: midway track "Rain or Shine," on which the rapid organ riff that makes the track so upbeat escalates quickly enough to make it foreboding. That twitchiness is furthered by Hastings' plaintive singing about "no demons" and "no Jesus" in his life, as if he were begging for that wish to come true. Massaquoi's subsequent monotone raps sound uncaring and unforgiving in comparison.

None of it should coalesce, but it does. White Men Are Black Men Too is a perfect storm of influences and talent that make for an unforgettable album,

CAM'RON the breakfast Cereal Killa

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Cam\'ron Enters the Breakfast Market with His Own Cereal Boxes
While chinchilla fur enthusiast Cam'ron has reunited with his Dipset pals for areunion tour and some new tunes, the New York rapper is furthering his solo career by bringing himself all the way to your breakfast table. Specifically, Cam has got a new cereal item called Killa Crunch coming your way.

According to a press release, "Cam'ron knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so he created a limited run of Killa Crunch cereal boxes to help his fans start their day."

As you'll see up above, the front of the colourful cereal box features a gun-toting image of Cam, this based off a recent Complex photo shoot. It likewise will attempt to make the morning meal go by faster with "goonie goodness inspired by the Dipset don," in particular via a "Dumb Smart" crossword and a rap-themed madlib.

It should be noted that if you're looking for a mouthful of morningstuffs, you're going to be disappointed. The promotional item doesn't actually contain any cereal. Nor will it include the advertised "Cam'borghini collectible toy" advertised at the top of the box. It will, however, contain a Killa Crunch T-shirt.

XXL reports that boxes of Killa Crunch will be tucked into various New York City-area bodegas throughout the weekend and these ones will also apparently include a $100 bill.

If you're not in NYC, you can order up a box through the Virgin Mega Appstarting this Monday (April 13). The technically Crunch-less cereal box retails for $45 US.

The early morning promotional item may not actually be bringing the crunch, though, as the rapper is actually just retailing the box. It may not be as dubious as, say, his line of scare-mongering ebola masks, but...

PLAYBOY Bunny-girl Mystery

Eve Stratford, Lynne Weedon
Manhunt: Eve Stratford and Lynne Weedon were murdered by the same killer 40 years ago
Detectives have made a breakthrough in the 40-year hunt for the killer of a Playboy bunnygirl and a teenager.
Last week the Sunday People revealed cops were launching a fresh appeal for information to solve the horrific murders of Eve Stratford, 21, and schoolgirl Lynne Weedon, 16.
Advances in DNA testing showed the same man committed both murders in 1975. Now it has emerged the culprit was of North European origin.
Police had identified 16 suspects in Eve’s murder.
But this latest DNA find scotches the theory that she was killed by a wealthy Arab who visited the Playboy Club in Park Lane where she worked.
Eve was found raped with her throat slashed in her home in Leyton, East London, on March 18, 1975.
Six months later, schoolgirl Lynne was bludgeoned in an alley on a shortcut to her home in Hounslow, West London.
She was also raped and died in hospital having never regained consciousness.

Manhunt: How the People reported the new developments last week
Scientists are still hoping to get more information from the DNA.
Det Chief Insp Noel McHugh said: “We know the suspect is of North European origin. Work continues on the DNA, but it is extremely delicate because of the passage of time.
“We have a profile, but the missing piece of the jigsaw is who that profile belongs to. What we need is a name.”
Detectives have not found a match on the national DNA database.
Forensic scientists are using the same techniques that helped convict Gary Dobson and David Norris in 2012 of killing of Stephen Lawrence in 1993.
Det Chief Insp McHugh said of the 40-year-old crime: “The suspect would be in his 60s or 70s now.
“I’d ask everybody to think back. Please do not assume we know what you know.”

Hatton Garden Pirates

Hatton Garden
Hatton Garden: Mirror's CCTV blows the case 'wide open'
Delighted detectives have told how the amazing CCTV footage “blows the case wide open” as they track down the Hatton Garden gems gang.
An insider said: “They know someone out there will recognize them from this.
"And needless to say the police will be going through every underworld source they have.”
Breaking their silence for the first time since the video emerged on Friday night, a source close to the investigation revealed that a forensic examination of the images will help to quickly piece together key clues.
Everything from clothing to facial features will come under scrutiny, along with the gang’s white getaway van and their distinctive tools.
In a day of developments we can also reveal how:
  • The gems could have been stolen to order by a foreign Mr Big
  • Cops have spoken to underworld informants who they feel know the suspects
  • The jewellery industry itself holds the key to solving the case
  • Police are still probing a burglary two years ago at the home of a director of the safety deposit company.
Among the clues from the clothing is ‘GAS’ emblazoned on the back of a high visibility jacket worn by one of the gang – dubbed The Gent as he is wearing smart city shoes.
The jacket raises suspicions the men may have deliberately started the Holborn fire little more than 500 yards from the vault, causing chaos.
Former Flying Squad cop John O’Connor has said he believes the blaze was part of the heist, although the London Fire Brigade do not currently believe it was started deliberately.
And an “aggravated burglary” at the North London home of Manish Bavishi, a director of the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit company, is likely to be re-examined.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the 2013 incident was still being investigated.
Hatton Garden: Amazing CCTV of the raid
Mr Bavishi is said to still be on holiday in Sudan and is not answering calls.
But a neighbour in Kenton told us: “This might be a coincidence but it seems very odd.”
Traders in Hatton Garden were keenly viewing the CCTV in the most important development yet since the Easter weekend heist.
One jeweller in his 40s told us: “I think it is only a matter of time before all the little details in the footage catch up with these guys.
“One guy’s hair. One guy’s trainers. Somebody else’s this, that and the other. The jackets – the gear is new.
“You’ve got six guys. They’re all on CCTV. You’ve got a van, and a moped coming and going.
“Someone is going to talk and that person will talk to someone else.
“There were six of them in there but I can’t imagine they are the only six to know. People blab.”
Detectives are convinced the stolen haul will already have been smuggled out of Britain – and may have been stolen to order by foreign criminals.
The lead officer on the case, detective chief inspector Paul Johnson, said the Mirror footage would “continue to be evaluated to capture precise movements of the suspects.”
DCI Johnson said the images showed the suspects using a side door to make their way to and from the premises.

Lead detective: Detective Chief Inspector Paul Johnson of the Flying Squad
He said: “They were highly audacious entering on two occasions over that weekend, firstly on Thursday April 2 at 20.19 before leaving the following morning at 08.12.
“They then returned over a day later on Saturday, April 4 at approx 22.17 before leaving the following morning at approximately 06.44.”
Police appealed for any further footage local residents or businesses may have that could help to help blow the men’s cover.
DCI Johnson said: “The examination of the scene has been painstaking and will continue. These examinations are vital. We must exploit this one-off opportunity to the fullest extent.”
Officers are set to use face recognition tools and probe files of known suspects to try to identify the men from the video.
"Although the gang went to painstaking attempts to mask their appearance with hard hats, scarves and dust masks, some distinctive features remained visible.
Police will also attempt to identify the number plate on a white Ford Transit used by the gang and seen for the first time on the recording.
If computer software can be used to piece together the van’s registration, hire firms and records of stolen motors will be combed for a match.

Pirate Chest of (PAULA BRINDISI)

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*

Oh, you know, sometimes in order to get your art on the best thing to do is strip off all your clothes and roam the streets in the buff, urging people to snap a few photos of you along the way. As if you’d actually have to urge them, that is! Although the whole concept might seem to require a little too much out-of-the-box thinking, it’s the exact approach that Argentinian artist Paula Brindisi took in the process of creating her latest project.
These photos are just a portion of artist Paula Brindisi’s collection ‘Urbanudismo’. Essentially, Paula went around to various places naked, acting as though it was a completely normal thing. Although I might not completely understand what she was trying to project in an artistic sense with this one, I’ve got to say that this chick seriously must have one hell of a set of lady balls.
So, just in case you wondered what it would be like to walk your dog or ride the subway naked, here are a couple photos of a beautiful Argentinian artist doing exactly that!

I pride myself on having never seen a single episode of a soap opera, and I have at least three friends from college who have appeared on soaps. In addition to being a great source of employment for casual acquaintances of mine, soap operas are also a great launching pad for actresses, many of whom have gone on to do nude scenes on film. Here are ten of the best...

Inside NIKKI DELANO

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*

Adult film star Nikki Delano has garnered over a dozen industry nominations since joining the industry in 2011, including a Best Supporting Actress nomination from the industry's largest awards show, the XBIZ Awards, in 2014. In 2012, she took home the trophy for Latina Performer of the Year from NightMoves, the third-oldest adult industry awards show in the U.S. But growing up, Nikki didn't aspire to be an adult film star. In fact, for years, she thought she wanted to work in law enforcement. Here, she tells Cosmopolitan.com about how she accidentally got into the industry, why she loves it, and how her family shaped who she is.
I'm the oldest of eight kids, born to a Puerto Rican father and a Colombian-Italian mom, though I was raised by my grandmother. She's extremely straight, and she really taught me discipline and morality. We're Catholic, and I think in Latino families, especially the older generation, they want you to grow up and have a better life than they could have had. She provided for me and pushed me to do my best. Two aunts, my uncle, and my cousin lived with us, and they, and my grandmother, really helped discipline me.
So I went to college and graduated with a degree in forensic psychology with double minors in criminology and addiction studies. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, but I was leaning toward working for the government or the NYPD. I know — kind of crazy, considering where I am now.
I know that a lot of people assume women get into porn because of their upbringing. People think that most girls come from single parents or that all their parents were addicted to something or that they just had a terrible life. I've even had fans ask me if girls do porn to pay for their drug addictions. But for the most part, I had a really good life: My grandmother gave that to me.
It's funny how I got started in the adult business. I had been doing some modeling and dating this guy for a while. I went to a modeling convention, and someone came up to me and asked me if I was interested in doing adult work. I said no; if my family had known, they would have disowned me! But for some reason, I took down his information anyway. Then I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me. So to get back at him — I don't know what I was thinking — I called the guy up and said I'd do it. I figured I'd do the first couple scenes and no one would find out about [it]. I thought, It's a new challenge; it's something different.
I was nervous for my first scene, but once I finished, I was hooked. I loved being able to express myself sexually on film — it was the deciding factor for me. And once I saw all the detail that goes into making the movie, I was really intrigued. In fact, I eventually want to open my own production company.
My family found out about a month later. We lived in a little town where everyone knows each other and somebody at the gym told my uncle, and he told my aunt and grandmother. My grandmother was really disappointed in me. It hurt me so much because I always want to please her and make her proud of me, and I didn't choose the path that she wanted me to take. We grow thinking we should be police officers or doctors. We're told go to school, finish college, and get a career. But I don't think I should be attacked for my choice to work as an adult film star. It's still a job.
Now, my career is always the elephant in the room with my family. But they see how successful I have become and they know that I'm not a drug addict and that I'm doing well for myself, and I think that's helping them to accept me.
On the other hand, my godfather and my high school best friend wouldn't invite me to their weddings. They both said, "I don't want you here. People know what you do." That was such a shock, and it really hurt me. But I told them, and I tell everyone, that being in the adult film industry doesn't change who I am. "Nikki Delano" is a persona, but I'm still Nicole. I'm still the same person I've always been growing up.
I don't regret what I do, and I'm proud no matter what, even though people have a misconception that porn is dirty or disgusting. I work for major companies, and everybody's professional. It's very nine-to-five: We have our scripts, we show up prepared, we have a professional crew on set, we do our job, and we go home. It's very much like a regular movie, but there's also sex. And everyone is tested for STDs every seven to 14 days.
I keep my real life pretty private. "Nikki Delano" is a single sex goddess. Every guy wants to be with her, so on camera, I play up her sexuality as much as I want. It's really hard to date in this industry. I've been in relationships where guys have used the fact that I'm in porn as ammunition and have said things like, "Well, I'm going to go have sex with this girl. Why should you care because you're going to have sex with someone today at work?" I need to have someone who is open and can really communicate. He has to understand that when I'm on set, I'm doing my thing, yes, but that it's just a role.
I try to stay grounded and humble, and I always try to remember that the people you see on your way up in the industry are the same people you're going to see on your way down, but the biggest lesson I've learned so far is that as long as you're true to yourself, it doesn't matter where you've been. "Nikki Delano" is my alter ego, but Nicole is my true self. And I'm not going to change who I really am.
