Police have launched a murder hunt after a woman was found dead in flat in London.
Vanessa Santillan was found dead in a flat in Fulham suffering injuries to her head and neck after officers from the Metropolitan Police were called in by a London Ambulance crew.
Paramedics had been called earlier on Saturday March 28, but Miss Santillan was pronounced dead at around 9.30pm.
Police immediately launched a murder investigation and have begun interviewing friends and neighbours.
Tragically, just two weeks before her death, Miss Santillan posted a photo on her Facebook page where she spoke of her love of London.
The 33-year-old is thought to have worked as an escort in London, but police refused to comment on her profession or if it was a line of enquiry.
She was thought to be in London from her home country of Mexico, but investigators have now called on anyone who may have seen the tragic woman alive on Friday of Saturday to come forward.
It is hoped they could hold vital information into what happened to the victim on the night she died.
Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Reeves, who leads the investigation, said: "We want to speak to anyone who saw Vanessa on Friday or Saturday.
"We need to know why this has happened and we want help from anyone who knew her while she was in London."
A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation, but he has since been bailed until May.
