DeKalb County deputies say citizen tips have led to three arrests in a home burglary from April 2.
DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said the burglary was at a home on Lookout Mountain. Investigators say they got information from people in the neighborhood, including a description of the vehicle involved.
Harris said those tips led deputies to the Kilpatrick area. They found a vehicle matching the description given by citizens. Deputies said they got consent to search it and recovered seven firearms stolen from the Lookout Mountain residence. They also reported finding drugs.
Three people were arrested in connection. Kelly Pointer, 34 of Crossville was charged with first-degree receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Sean Michael Bower, 23 of Fort Payne and Patrick Reeves, 33 of Crossville were both charged with third-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
"These arrests were made possible thanks to the concerned citizens of this community. The deputies and investigators did a great job on following up on these leads and making these arrest," Harris said in a statement.
