The sight of tennis players destroying their racquets in frustration has fast become a regular occurrence at major championships.
But American star Coco Vanderweghe took her anger to a whole new level during her second round defeat at the US Open - and the crowd loved it.
The 23-year-old, so frustrated by her performance which saw her five games down to fellow American Bethanie Mattek-Sands, sat on the sides and proceeded to obliterate her racquet.
First, she pounded her equipment into her chair on the side of the court, before smashing it into the ground, destroying it completely with two thumping whacks.
The crowd at Flushing Meadows absolutely loved Vanderweghe's show of petulance on the sides.
Milking her moment in the limelight, she proceeded to gesture to the howling audience before giving the racquet one more bash onto the court floor.
Letting a bit of frustration out did seem to help Vanderweghe, however, who went on to win the next two games after her blow up.
But Mattek-Sands went on to book her place in the third round with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 win.
