The forthcoming full-length touches on themes of "hope, loss, conviction, and ultimately redemption," delivered through a cinematic collision of drums, guitar, organs and vocal harmonies. Inspired by the gorgeous natural surroundings of their Vancouver Island origins, the songs serve as a reflection of and companion to the "wild, oceanic landscapes."
The song "Half Moon" exemplifies those themes and natural motifs, and runs the gamut from gentle folk-infused pop to more upbeat, skiffle-y funk. The accompanying visuals are dark and dramatic, featuring a young female protagonist wandering through a dingy, graffiti-covered underground space, with flashbacks to the real world spliced in. The band perform with masked faces and amidst an eerie fog, while black-clad dancers encircle the woman.
Torch is out on September 4, but you can watch the video for "Half Moon" in the player below right now.
