Twice nominated for the Welsh Music Award, the idiosyncratic songwriter has a unique turn of phrase, something that can raise a smile and break a heart at the same time.
New album 'The Boombox Ballads' is partially informed by Northern Soul, and there's a certain Motown skip to 'You Got Me Time Keeping'.
On the surface it's all joy and pleasantries but underneath Sweet Baboo layers lyrical complexity and torn feelings.
