A young mum died on the operating table, sparking outrage from the family
The 25-year-old – identified only by her surname Wong – reportedly travelled to the hospital for a cut-price plastic surgery operation.
Her devastated husband Yip said that his wife had paid the equivalent of £4,820 for a blepharoplasty, which included double eyelid surgery and breast enhancements.
She had been accompanied to the Tian Mei Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in the Chinese city of Shenzhen by her husband.
While her four-year-old daughter had remained behind with family at their home in Hong Kong.
The family later discovered that actually the woman had probably died at least two and a half hours earlier.
A video shows her desperate family standing around her fully-clothed body which is still on the operating table.
The Tian Mei Cosmetic Surgery Hospital
They have now accused the management of trying to cover up what happened.
They say that there were bottles of unidentified liquids in the operating room which they want tested as they believe they were hormones normally used on animals.
They are demanding to see video footage from the operating theatre which the hospital has so far claimed does not exist.
