‘SWITCH SIDES’ IN NEW COLLABORATION

On the verge of releasing his mixtape under a Polydor Records deal this September, Cambridge rapper Big Heath joined forces with Manchester’s only, Geko, for the remix of “Switch Sides”.
Big Heath has been making moves in the UK music scene as he supported international artists Nas and Freddie Gibbs on the UK leg of their 2017 tours and most recently by opening the main stage at Wireless, as Dj Semtex brought him out. The rapper has been referred to as the “next one up”, showcasing a different side to the UK rap scene.
Big Heath’s self-released single “Switch Sides” in early 2018 was being played on heavy rotation at BBC 1Xtra and now the artist is here to give us the remix.
The song is produced by Show n Prove, who also produced Blade Brown’s “12 Summers” released recently this week, and has worked with fellow artists J Hus, Stefflon Don, Giggs and many more. Starting off in a rather slower tempo, the beat drops and carries on in an upbeat pace to match Big Heath’s delivery.
The song is a statement against his haters and as Big Heath raps, you can hear the uniqueness in his flow, full of energy and showcasing good wordplay. Geko stepped right in with his killer flow and punchlines to match it.
Make sure you catch the video directed by Henry Smith and Big Heath out now via GRM Daily.
