Richards – who hacked up a struggling dog with a meat cleaver and stabbed a kitten in the eye with a high heel – is the first to be convicted under a new law banning the videos.
US Attorney Kenneth Magidson – for the Southern District of Texas – said: "As she tortured the animals she engaged in sexually charged dialogue meant to arouse the viewer."
Richards – of Houston – was often scantily clad and wearing a fancy dress mask during the horrific footage.
In one 13-minute video the sadist slaughters a pit bull-cross puppy in a kitchen.
The defenseless dog's mouth is sealed with duct tape as she chops off one of its paws – and then beheads it.
In another video tortures a live chicken.
She admitted to creating and distributing the videos between February 2010 and August 2012 after authorities were alerted to the disgusting footage by animal charity PETA.
Almost as shocking is the fact that she – and her alleged accomplice Brent Justice, 54, – ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH IT.
In 2013 a US district judge THREW OUT the case – saying the videos were protected under FREE SPEECH.
But the court of appeal reinstated the charges.
Richards – who is already serving a 10-year sentence for animal cruelty – pleaded guilty to four counts of producing and one count of distribution the animal crush videos.
She will be sentenced in December and faces up to seven years in jail for each count and a fine of up to £160,000.
Richards also pleaded guilty to three charges in state court stemming from the same conduct and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Justice remains in custody awaiting animal cruelty charges.
A crush fetish is when a person is sexually aroused by watching someone crush objects – such as food or small animals like insects – with their body.
Hard crush videos show larger animals – such as reptiles, birds or mammals - being crushed.
