*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*
Beenzino launched his career as a rapper in the Korean underground scene and is noted as one of the most influential artists in K-Hip Hop. EXO's Chanyeol has cited Beenzino as an influence and continues to show his support for the rapper.
"Up All Night" opens with the track "Jackson Pollock D*ck." The song pays homage to the avant garde abstract impressionism artist and to a specific part of male anatomy. "Jackson Pollack D*ck" incorporates colorful word play, helping to set the tone for the album.
"How Do I Look?" is a down tempo homage to club culture which helps to set a laid back party mood. "How Do I Look" is the perfect transition track for the street sound of "Crazy."
Beenzino transitions from the R&B vibe to deliver "Crazy," a track which exemplifies the rap style of illionaire records artists. The hardest track on the EP, which includes the lyrics "I make my girl go down."
"Up All Night" conjures a nineties hip hop vibe through rhymes by Beenzino and vocals from Mayson The Soul. The title track sets itself apart from others on the mini album through its incorporation of urban soul and hard edged lyrics. The juxtaposition between the music and lyrics is similar to the style of nineties American hip hop artists Ja Rule and Fat Joe.
The album concludes with the instrumental track "I Don't Have To Work."
Beenzino performed in the United States in late May as part of the West Coast engagement leg of the Asian Music Festival. He will return to the Asian Music Festival for a one-night show with illionaire records rappers Dok2 and the Quiett on August 2.
