Zendaya is 'over' the controversy surrounding Giuliana Rancic's comments about her Oscars hair.
The 18-year-old singer was pictured out with her father Kazembe Coleman in Hollywood on Thursday night, looking happy and relaxed.
But as she was asked about the scandal following Fashion Police co-host Giuliana saying her dreadlocked do made her look like she smelled of 'patchouli and weed', Zendaya pleaded with people to find something else to talk about.
'It's over, let's let it go,' she said.
Zendaya had changed her hair following the Academy Awards last Sunday night, but insisted the scandal had not been responsible for her ditching the 'do.
Instead the blamed the dreads for being 'too tight'.
Zendaya had earlier graciously accepted Giuliana's apology for her comments.
'Giuliana, I appreciate your apology and I'm glad it was a learning experience for you and for the network,' Zendaya wrote on her Instagram page. 'I hope that others negatively affected by her words can also find it in their hearts to accept her apology as well.'
The E! Presenter was widely criticised for her comments about Zendaya's appearance. The former Disney Channel star feels that the comments were an example of prejudice, and that people shouldn't be afraid to stand up and address the problem.
'Studies have shown that even though we try to act without prejudice, sometimes it's just hidden inside us due to our past or surrounding. That hidden prejudice is often influential in our actions,' she continued. 'It's our job to spot these issues within others and ourselves and destroy them before they become hurtful. I have so many people looking up to me, that I couldn't be scared, wait it out, nor could I just stand up for me; I had to do it for WE.'
