RONIKA "Dissolve"

Ronika's vivid pop sound drove debut album 'Selectadisc' to remarkable creative heights.
Slurping synths sat next to heavenly vocals, the whole affair driven by an awareness - a need - to simply be herself.
New album 'Lose My Cool' will be released on January 20th, and the stylish return is presaged by exquisite new cut 'Dissolve'.
Lyrically, the track draws on that moment when everything you know about a person is turned upside down, when your expectations are shown to be based on shifting sands.
Musically, the woozy electronics draw from 80s machine funk but there's a twilight feel, which at times has a science fiction bent.
VIVID is able to share the visuals - tune in now.
'Lose My Cool' will be released on January 20th.

Though Wiley's new Godfather LP didn't arrive this month as planned, the grime vet has given listeners a taste of what's to come from the release with a new video for "You Were Always."

Directed by Ceon Broughton, the video sees Wiley team up with fellow MCs Skepta and Belly (the UK MC, not the Canadian one), the three wax poetic about relationships gone bad at the bar, in the booth and in the street.

Pushed back from it's original target date in November, Wiley's Godfather will now arrive on January 13 through CTA Records. Watch the video for "You Were Always" in the player below.

Ghettosocks "The Life Aquatic"

We recently heard Toronto-based hip-hop artist Ghettosocks jump on Pineo & Loeb's remix of July Talk's "Push + Pull," but now the rapper is ready to reveal some new material of his own. He's just dropped a video for the Bix-produced "The Life Aquatic," and Exclaim! has your exclusive first look at it.

As you may have guessed from the title, it plays with ideas and imagery from Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic film, starring Socks in a Steve Zissou get-up as he roams the open water in a boat, gets lost in the woods and paints a poutine-inspired art piece in an empty warehouse.

The clip was shot on location in and around Melbourne, Australia, last year by director Raphael Recht, and you can finally see the finished product in the player below.
