You should love LOTTE VERBEEK

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO presentation*

I've had a cold for the past two weeks. It's gotten worse the last few days and every muscle on my body is sore. My nasal passages are clogged and my attempts at powering through my spin classes have been admirable but lackluster. Why hasn't man cured the common cold? I was so desperate for a good night's sleep last night aka this morning I whipped up an ice cold Screwdriver. The orange juice provided the vitamin C while the Smirnoff was an excellent sleep aid.
Can't suffer from a cold when you're blotto.
Despite my snotty disposition, I was still able to maintain an interest aka boner for Outlanderhottie Lotte Verbeek. Lotte's got a lot, and the redhead shows off her preggers belly and ample, perky bosoms during a witch trial when she tears off her top to help our oft-nude heroine Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) escape death. This most likely means her own end but at least she went out with a bang before a potential burning at the stake. If you saw the season premire ofGame of Thrones, you know how hard going through those bad boys can be.
Yikes.

Who is TALLIA STORM

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Teen singer Tallia Storm is gearing up to release her highly anticipated debut EP on May 10th 2015.

Tallia’s catchy first single ‘Social Security’ and four-track EP offers the first glimpse into her critically acclaimed sound that has been hailed by Sir Elton John as ‘one of the most impressive soul signatures I’ve heard in years’.

On hearing her sing live its clear to see why the teenager is dubbed as a ‘one in a zillion talent’ by Ron Fair as well as music royalty, Nile Rodgers calling her ‘one of his favourite new artists in the world’.

After leaving her demo CD with Sir Elton John’s partner in a hotel restaurant, singer/songwriter Tallia Storm’s life changed forever in 2012 when she was just 13 years of age. Sir Elton John called within 24 hours and invited her to open his football stadium concert in Scotland. She belted out her strong, soulful melodies, with an R&B groove that simply defied her petite frame. To great critical acclaim, she was front-page news in the UK media, and dubbed the ‘Tiny Chancer’.

There’s something quite raw and interesting about Tallia Storm's vocals, nothing contrived, just a deep soulful signature reminiscent to that of the Motown era. She grew up singing along to Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Lena Horne, Sarah Vaughan, Charlie Parker and Coltrane and is also inspired by contemporary artists like the late Amy Winehouse, Jill Scott, Frank Ocean, John Legend, Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar.

Tallia has crafted a unique sound to deliver a powerful and modern urban vocal, which is gathering an array of fans from around the world. Currently working on her studio album that was championed by BBC Radio 1Xtra / BBC Introducing platform last summer, her unique vocal signature and writing ability have also scooped her a two-book deal with Scholastic.

“I think this EP is an excellent introduction to my vibe. My single ‘Social Security’ is a fun play on social media etiquette or perhaps the lack of it", Talia laughs. “The second track ‘California’ is a soulful ballad that means so much to me. I’ve been so lucky in the USA and especially California. LA has such an insatiable energy – the city is vibrant and this song is about the dreams that are fuelled by all that it has to offer. The third track ‘Our Love Should Last Forever’ is a about a young girl who is struggling to come to terms with her father walking out on her family and finally the last track ‘I Just Need You’ is about teenage love”, said the 16-year-old Scot.

Tallia Storm will be supporting Tinie Tempah at the MTV Staying Alive Foundation ‘Found’ gig in London on 14th May.
The ‘Social Security’ EP is available to pre-order on iTunes now.

ISAIAH DREADS is ready

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

With a skippy grime beat from Preditah and unmistakable vocals and melodies from C4 on the hook, the 17-year-old West Country emcee Isaiah Dreads, had the perfect bed on which to lay his talent for his brand new single ‘Foolish’.

Already co-signed by some major tastemakers, Isaiah has been turning heads over the last year. From his 'Free Music Monday' with Annie Mac, to Mistajam’s Office Party on BBC Radio 1Xtra, to his track ‘U See Me’ featured as Zane Lowe’s 'Next Hype'.

Isaiah is described as a 'breath of fresh air' and is certainly living up to the reviews. The young emcee has even ticked off some major achievements on any artists bucket list by taking to the stage at Glastonbury, Wireless and Isle of Wight Festival in 2014. In the summer of 2015 he is already lined up for the Adidas stage at Streetfest, Victorious Festival and Shakedown.

Taking inspiration from his surroundings, which are a far cry from the usual council estates and inner-city life that are often presented in the grime genre, Dreads plays a part in the shifting culture in the UK underground scene.

The single has a fun, bouncing production with Dreads hopping between a skippy and fast-paced flow; you’d be 'Foolish' not to take this one in!
