Sheffield’s finest Deep Green comes through with some incredibly powerful visuals for his latest track ‘Sally and Paul’.  The song is an extremely deep and thought-provoking, story telling track that tells the tale of two fictional characters named Sally and Paul.

Through Deep’s storytelling rhymes, the listener is able to find out that Paul is a homeless man addicted to drugs, who has lost his family and friends as a consequence of his addiction. In order to survive he has resorted to stealing and robbing from various corner shops.

Sally on the other hand, whilst being an extremely bright girl, is unfortunately addicted to cocaine. Therefore, in order to fund her addiction she has resorted to prostitution and stays up late at night to attract strangers in order to gain money.

Deep Green balances both verses with a catchy hook that sees him singing about how it is ‘dark outside’, praying to the lord to ‘find a brighter place’.

Visual wise, the music video focuses solely on the actors playing the characters of ‘Sally and Paul’. With each half of the video covering their daily struggles. Both actors play the roles extremely well and you can’t help but get drawn in. Ultimately, the video depicts the harsh realities of these character’s lives extremely well and is definitely worth checking out.

COLOUR - 'Minus'

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

COLOUR are an independent force.
Based in Liverpool - a city of mavericks and free-thinkers if ever we saw one - the band long ago decided to walk their own path.
So expect off kilter riffs peppered with glossy 80s melodies, tightly wrought choruses and lyrics that delve a little deeper.
Last year's 'Famous Boy Making Things' EP was a delight, with COLOUR now prepping a brand new single.
'Minus' is completely beguiling, intelligent, artful pop music worth comparing to Tears For Fears or even a post-punk inspired Pet Shop Boys.
Vivid Radio has nabbed the acerbic video and it's packed with visual puns and deadpan humouor.

Julia Jacklin has shared the video for new single 'Cold Caller'.
The songwriter recently released the double A-side seven inch on Transgressive, and returned to the dance studio for the cool new clip.
She explains: “Over my five years of dancing training I accumulated about four dance moves, which have all been utilised in this clip. You could say it all started here in this dance studio in my hometown Springwood where beginning at the age of 11, I laboured and then learned that I was not going to be a professional dancer.”
“Nevertheless for those five years I did my best; tap danced at a casino in a high vis one-piece to ‘Working Class Man’, waved my arms repeatedly around at an event held in a McDonalds car park to Enya’s ‘Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)’, crammed my pre-pubescent body into silver hot pants for Pink’s “Get this Party Started”. It’s still my favourite thing to do, and this song is about something worrying but also something incredibly joyful and all I could think to do to express that was to dance.”

Beautiful women, body popping and animated backdrops set the tone for this afro influenced, tropically induced wave, titled Figure 8. Reminiscent of a Black Eyed Peas vibe with its own UK spin, Tiqeu, Joshua Kings and Yungin intermix to concoct this playful track. Both the men and ladies can appreciate the visuals which are clad with delectably refined eye candy and simple yet fetching scenes throughout with a nice balance of smooth vocals laid next to equanimous rap verses. Definitely a song you would shake a leg to on your night out and appealing for all the Afrobeat lovers.
