Angel Olsen "Shut Up Kiss Me"

Angel Olsen"Shut Up Kiss Me" (video)
Angel Olsen returns with My Woman later this summer, and she's teased the upcoming album with a new video for "Shut Up Kiss Me."

It follows the clip for "Intern," and finds the singer sporting a sparkly tinsel wig and some nifty rollerskates.

It's a nostalgic nod to retro fun, and a delightful accompaniment to the stellar new tune. Acoustic strums turn into thundering drum rolls as Olsen demands: "Shut up, kiss me, hold me tight."

Watch the new video below. My Woman is out on September 2 through Jagjaguwar.

As previously reported, Olsen has several North American dates coming up. You can see all those, including some here in Canada, over here.

Majid Jordan "Make It Work"

Toronto R&B duo Majid Jordan have steadily been building up their videography since even before the release of their self-titled debut LP, and they continue to grind out the visuals. This time, they've delivered a sensual, but complicated look at the record's "Make It Work."

First, we see singer Majid Al Maskati getting a private lap dance at home, but he eventually winds up at a party grinding up with another woman. As if plucked from the storyline of The Fabulous Baker Boys, the sight of yet another woman chatting up piano-playing bandmate Jordan Ullman throws Maskati into a jade-eyed rage.

Despite the 'lax, lusty vibe of the track, the video features a heated argument, and a unified finale that might leave a bad taste in your mouth.

If you want to find out how Majid Jordan make it work as best suits them, you can see the questionable scenario play out down below.

Steve Aoki, Rich the Kid and ILOVEMAKONNEN "How Else"

Proving that you can toss a cake just about any time of year, world renowned dessert specialist/DJ Steve Aoki is hucking out some sticky-sweet stuff alongside ILOVEMAKONNEN and Rich the Kid in a new summer vid for "How Else."

Aoki's track flips the hip-hop MCs' "No Ma'am 2" collaboration from last year's Whip It mixtape, and the video finds all three artists bounding around on stage in front of a packed house. There, ILOVEMAKONNEN and Rich the Kid rifle off bars for the faithful, while Aoki dials knobs behind the scenes. The long-haired Dim Mak founder then surfaces to launch a frosted vanilla cake into the crowd, as he's wont to do.

The video also features white sand beach scenes, a plastic swan-riding pool party, and some significantly more sexualized moments. You can peep it all down below.

Louis the Child & Icona Pop "Weekend"

It being Canada Day, plenty of us out there are currently enjoying all the spoils of a three-day weekend. If you're looking for an appropriately themed, though not exactly nationally minded soundtrack, you may want to hop on Swedish pop duo Icona Pop's latest track, "Weekend."

The new tune is a team-up with Louis the Child, and together they deliver a fun and breezy arrangement of flirty keyboard acrobatics and lyrics about celebrating the hell out of life. Icona Pop sing of nights full of popped bottles, which syncs up well to visuals of a group of young adults cutting through the city in their car, surviving on a diet of potent, liquid late-night snacks. The giv no fuks attitude is strong with this one.

"We work hard and play hard, we are constantly jet lagged and we do things at weird times," Icona Pop said in a statement. "This song is about our beautiful chaos that we think a lot of people can relate to."

You can catch the chaos down below.

"Conspiracy Theory" with Frank Finkle (Voting)

*Warning: PIRATE RADIO is on the air*

I'm Frank Finkle and normally I have a Conspiracy Theory.
Our ratings aren't as good as they should be, so I've been told I should let somebody else take over the show to breath in some fresh air on Pirate Radio.
So, I'll have you the blog show audience to write to me and tell me who you think will bring up the ratings, while I go on vacation.

I'm very popular. Except for me punching my wife in the face...let's not talk about that.

He might be a problem. Who else do we have?

What about a Minnie Mouse Pirate! I'm friendly to kids.

A woman pirate, huh? I don't know.

Pick me! I'm on Huggies diapers!

That's true. Who else is there?

I think it's a great idea. You know, I'm the original Disney character, fella.

Say, you got a point there.
But, I don't know who to pick.

But, you're not picking. It's the audience, Mr. Finkle.

Yeah...that's right...it's not me at all.....psst, get the ballots and put them in the closet so I can read them later.
