Sojin, a member of Baby KARA who auditioned to join KARA, has been found dead in an apparent suicide.
A woman was found laying unconscious in a flower bed outside of an apartment complex in Daejeon, Daedeok-gu. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she died and was identified as Sojin.
Police believe that Sojin committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor of the apartment complex; however, no suicide note has been found, and investigations are ongoing.
Sojin was reportedly suffering from depression. She had also recently terminated her contract with DSP Media.
Last year, Sojin participated in "KARA Project: The Beginning", a reality TV competition that determined who would become a new member of KARA after two of its members left the group. She did not win the competition and did not become a KARA member.
