Google has ditched its plans to ban porn from its Blogger platform following a backlash.
The search engine changed its mind after smut lovers threatened to decamp to rival blog service Tumblr.
In a statement, Google social support manager Jessica Pelegio said some people publish explicit sexual imagery as a way of "expressing their identities".
"Rather than implement this change, we've decided to step up enforcement around our existing policy prohibiting commercial porn," she continued.
All blog with pornographic content will now be marked "adult" and will come with a warning.
The search engine originally planned to force blogs with pornographic content to be private, effectively hiding them from public view.
