From PORN actress to Action Figure!

My Five Favorite Action Figures (Other Than My Own) by Tanya Tate
The lovely and talented cosplaying MILF porn star Tanya Tate has her own action figure out now from My Hero Toys based on the comic character Lady Titan.  Based on the upcoming comic book by Tate and Alexander Raymond, Lady Titan is a hero designed as an homage to the spandex wearing super heroines of retro television, but updated for today. Deriving her powers from her
costume, Lady Titan fights against evil doers in Studio City, California.  That's so cool!  I need my own action figure.  Here are Tate's five favorite action figures of other people!
I didn’t collect action figures or dolls when I was little. I was more of a stamp collector, LOL. But, to be fair, there were not that many cool action figures when I was growing up. Nowadays, they are fantastic. So realistic, brilliant articulation, really nice collector pieces and there is something for everyone. I’m very particular on what action figures I collect, I’m more of a vinyl collector.
Same basic idea. Stylized figures made of vinyl, instead of plastic. I have well over 200 hundred Funko POPS and dozens of Titan Merchandise’s Titans.  I even created my own line of vinyl figures - My Hero Toys! Of course, there is a Tanya Tate figure. It’s based on my upcoming comic book Lady Titan. But that is another story, now I want to share with you 5 of my favourite action figures.
1.  Emma Peel (Product Enterprises)
null
This is a 12-inch figure based on Diana Rigg’s character from The Avengers (the UK version of super spies, not the US version of super heroes) television series of the 60’s. Emma Peel is an icon in England. She was a strong woman, smart, sexy and quite fashionable. This fully articulated figure captures all that, even the cheeky smile that Emma would give John Steed. She’s wearing her leather catsuit and even comes with a bottle of champagne. Cheers!

2. Catwoman (Mattel)
null
The licensing rights to the 60’s Batman television series finally untangled and with it came loads of incredible merchandise based on the show. I am a huge fan of the Batman TV show, especially ofJulie Newmar’s sexy version of Catwoman. It’s one of my favourite costumes to cosplay as, and have done so at a few San Diego Comic Cons. The figure looks just like her, It's like holding a mini-Julie Newmar in your hand. I was fortunate to meet her recently and she’s incredible cool.
3. Wonder Woman (DC Collectibles).
null
There have been loads of Wonder Woman action figures made throughout the years, but arguably this one from DC Collectibles based on the Terry Dodson run of comics is the best. She’s sexy, strong, and has a bit of an attitude, that’s what Wonder Woman is to me. This figure is so sought after that a figure “mint on card” easily commands upwards of $100 on ebay.
4. Batman (Figures Toy Company).
null
Back in the 70’s there was a toy company called Mego that made figures that, to me, straddled the line between action figures and dolls. They did a line of superheroes that featured all the greats - Superman, Batman, Hulk, Thor and many more.
They have long since went out of business but Figures Toy Company has captured that retro spirit for their line of figures and I love it. My fav so far? The Adam West Batman! Based on the television show, this figure still has that Mego simplistic styling while still making the figure look like Adam West. Really, brilliantly done. This looks exactly what Mego figure would look like if they were still around.
5. Doctor Who Companions Box Set (Underground Toys).
null
This set has a special place in my heart. I am a huge Doctor Who fan, going back to Tom Baker (who is also a Liverpudlian) and this is figures set is of the Doctor’s companions. Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble (one of my fav actresses - Catherine Tate), Sarah Jane Smith, and Astrid Peth (one of my fav singers - Kylie Minogue) are all in here. That alone would put this box set in my top collectibles, but there is a bit of back story to me getting this box.
I was doing a bit poorly from a surgery I had. My fans, known as the “Tanya Taters”, knew about this from my social media and all pitched in to send me this set, as something that would brighten my day. I’ll never forget that and will always appreciate my fans.
There you go. If you would like to find out more about my line of figures, visit MyHeroToys.com.
