Geovarn is back with his second release in 2018 titled ‘Meanstyle 2’. The North London rapper/singer always manages to show us different styles with every song that he drops; with Summer 2017’s ‘Wild Thoughts (Meanstyle) being a prime example. Most listeners remember that song for being a good refix of DJ Khaled’s summer smash ‘Wild Thoughts’ featuring Bajan superstar Rihanna and R&B sensation Bryson Tiller.
Well this evening, Geovarn rolled through and dropped the ‘Meanstyle 2′ video. It was certainly unexpected but it’s a welcomed release for North London’s rising star. He drops some cold braggadocios rhymes in his own style for four smooth minutes and he executes it well. Those with a keen ear will notice that the first part of the song samples Canadian young R&B star Roy Woods’ ‘Say Less’ off the 2017 album of the same name. The second part? It samples another Canadian star’s song titled ‘Bartenders & Spenders’ off of 2017’s ‘The New Toronto 2’ by none other than Tory Lanez.
The De La Mode Records artist drops a strong release just as we prepare to enter the second quarter of a cold 2018; he came through with a song that mirrors the temperature. The video does well to capture the mood of the song and gives viewers a feel for one side of London after hours.
Check out the video above and let us know how you feel about it.
