Mid November 2017 saw him pay Charlie a visit at the 1xtra studio and drop his wavey ‘Fire In The Booth’, and starting the year as he means to go on, Rapman drops more fire for the start of January 2018 with his ‘2017 Wrap Up’.
I’m definitely feeling this from Rapman, I personally think this track is a sick body of work with a lot of thought going into it, it’s definitely segregated him from other rappers as timing was everything and this is the first track of it’s nature to be dropped on New Year’s Day.
Including touching visuals and clips, Rapman pays sentiment to those that didn’t get to see 2018, Grenfell tower victims and attacks in Nigeria whilst cleverly incorporating Floyd Mayweather’s win against Conor McGregor alongside viral gossip such as Uck Queen, the elections and milestones in the U.K music scene.
Really well done and at times quite a moving tribute to 2017.
