His mixtape 1 Up has just dropped, and he’s given us 7 songs that need to be added to your 2018 playlist. Mischief has actually blessed us two times over by opening up the new year with a wavey music video titled, Way Too Trappy, which isn’t off the mixtape, so we get an extra song to listen to.
Drill is certainly Mischief’s speciality. He’s featured with many fellow drill artists like K-Trap, members of rap group 67, Youngs Teflon and many more, making 2017 a successful music year for him and the one he’s received the most recognition in.
Mischief brings something unique to the table by having the visuals in a black and white filter which is uncommon in music videos. It adds to the element of rawness as we see him on the block, surrounded by friends. Krept even makes a special appearance in the background of some scenes and overall, the video seems personal.
Flow wise, Mischief is definitely different and underrated, he’s faster than usual drill rappers and the beat is only a foundation for his voice, without the beat, the bars would bang regardless. He talks about what makes him ‘Way Too Trappy’, with all the money he’s making.
Don’t sleep on Mischief, he is certainly going to blow this year. His mixtape is now available on all digital platforms, make sure to give it a listen along with Way Too Trappy above.
