Aussie export Cee has a broad range of talents on his resumé, from working as a craft beer podcaster and vlogger to starting his own social media business, but its his talent as a musician that's getting the spotlight right now. He's just unleashed a new single called "Meta," and Exclaim! is giving you the first look at its new video.
The new track follows Cee's debut LP This Is All I Know and his collaborative Be Better EP with SVNTY6, and it hears him pairing up with producers Notion and Ben Tramer. "Meta" mixes "rolling hi-hats" and "eerie synths" beneath Cee's drawling, but punchy lyrical delivery.
"The concept of 'meta' is definitely overused these days, so I wanted to inject new life into it over a dark, trap beat," Cee tells VIVID in a statement. "The word just popped into my head when I started writing, so I kicked it off with some word association and ended up with metaphors for our journey in the industry that perhaps upcoming artists could relate to."
Those ideas have been set to music, and now paired with a King Richard-directed clip. Stream the "Meta" video down below, as well as the track itself.
