A 'migrant chic' photoshoot featuring a model posing as a refugee baring her breasts in front of barbed wire has caused outrage on social media.
'Der Migrant', a series of refugee -inspired pictures by Hungarian photographer Norbert Baska, has been given a pummelling by Twitter users.
The gallery features a woman with a pseudo-Islamic scarf round her head in a mock up of one of the notorious immigration camps .
In one shot the model is being dragged off by two men dressed as police officers.
Another shows her exposing her breasts as she takes a selfie with a Chanel-branded phone.
Twitter user Carla Chalouhy said: "I don't get Norbert Baksa's point.
"Awareness is already raised about refugees. And not in his cheap way."
Particitrousers posted: "My god, this migrant fashion shoot is just 100% trash."
Lewis Bush added: "Well now this is utterly sick. 'Migrant chic' fashion shoot."
The photographer has defended his work.
He said: "I do not understand how people can take a clear stand (pro or con) while we are flooded with contradictory information through the media, so no one has extensive knowledge of the situation as a whole.
"This is exactly what we wanted to picture: you see a suffering woman, who is also beautiful and despite her situation, has some high quality pieces of outfit and a smartphone.
"Fortunately, many people have grabbed the meaning of the material and appreciate it for what it is meant to mean.
"On the other hand, loads of people react from their viewpoint without trying to understand the meaning of the message.
"These people find the pictures offending, but we never meant to offend anybody, but rather to draw the attention to the complexity of these people’s problem."
He added the shoot was not intended to 'glamorise a bad situation'.
It's not the first time a Hungarian has become embroiled in an immigration-related controversy.
Last month camerawoman Petra Laszlo tripped up a Syrian dad as he tried to cross the Serbian border with his son in his arms .
