On April 2nd KST, Star News via Naver shared a report confirming that YG Entertainment veterans Jinusean will be making a comeback this month! This is the group's first new track in 11 years. Speculation began late last March that the duo would return to the music scene prior to the highly anticipated comeback of label mates Big Bang.
The Star News reporter goes on to say that the comeback will be a single but a decision still had not been made about promotional activities on various broadcasting networks.
On March 27th, Korean news website Osen reported that the group would make a comeback this year but did not provide a definite date. And the April 1st buildup? The report goes on to say that a spokesperson for YG Entertainment simply said, "The teaser for April 1st is not for Jinusean."
With their 18 year anniversary approaching this June, this surprise announcement of a comeback is exciting news. The timing, however, is receiving mixed reviews from fans via social media. Some fans of Big Bang, called VIP, have joked that no one wants to contend with the group's comeback activities. Other fans have expressed frustration with the prolonged wait. Even still, some have teased that this is all a big delay for YG's actual comeback!
Ever ready with a response, YG Entertainment reiterated the initial plan for Big Bang to have their comeback first for 2015 but acknowledged the wishes of Jinusean. "[Jinusean] did not [want] to go head-to-head with hoobaes (juniors) they're fond about, and rather just go before, so their release was pulled up."
Are you excited for the return of Jinusean?
