The late, great Joan Rivers died last year. The comedienne and entrepreneur was active by any definition--especially for an 81-year-old--and she still traveled quite a bit. Turns out when she took a trip the savvy Rivers used to hide her money in Milk Duds boxes, or what her daughter Melissa calls her mom's "travel wallets." This way Rivers's petty cash remained safe from all but that thief with an incurable sweet tooth.
Thing is, Melissa learned about Joan Rivers's Milk Dud habit a little late. While cleaning out her mom's New York penthouse--no easy task, it's a $28 million manse--whenever she found a Mild Duds box Melissa naturally just threw it away.
