South London MC Ms. Banks is back and has dropped her first track of the year, entitled ‘Come Thru’. This has been highly anticipated and it has certainly not disappointed. Surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women, Ms. Banks definitely seemed like she had a lot of fun making this one, and is starting 2018 off to a strong start.
Ms. Banks has recently been teasing us with snippets of information about her new EP ‘The Coldest Winter’ which has no official release date as of yet, but we are so excited to hear.
Speaking in a recent interview with I-D, Banks explained that the title of the EP is based on a book she loved when she grew up, a best-selling 1999 novel written by MC and activist Sister Souljah. The title also relates to herself and having her heart-broken last year. Speaking to the publication she said “I was all buddied up in the summer and now I’m single and it’s freezing, in every sense, heartbreak was something really new to me. That whole experience made my winter extra cold.”
