Singer 7ondn releases a brand new but refreshing wave with his new single, Loyalty. I’m feeling his vibe on this one, mellow, with elements of RnB as he comes through with some soothing vocals to accompany his catching hook.
In case it went over your head, or the instrumental to this one sounds very familiar but you have no idea why, Loyalty is a nod to Wiz Khalifas standout track, The Statement, taken from his classic Kush & OJ mixtape that blew the rapper up years ago. Then again, maybe you’re more of an old head and might recognise the original John Lennon track Wiz sampled too… But that’s very unlikely. Check out the Wiz video for The Statement below if you still need a quick reminder.
The video itself – which is black and white throughout suits the theme of the set of visuals to a t, nothing extravagant is needed with this one as the audio does quite a lot for itself, and the simplicity of the video helps bring out the authentic vibe the audio emits. Scenes of a well styled 7ondn walking the streets, reflecting on his other half’s loyalty definitely a good fit with the reflective lyrical content.
