410 rapper Syikes supplies us with a brand new set of visuals for his latest musical effort, titled, BackStroke. The South London based rapper switches things up as he talks about being on drillings before UK Drill music was a thing – rapping over a more reflective instrumental as apposed to what we’ve come to expect from the rapper, of late.
Taking a different approach, Syikes also makes it clear that this isn’t anything new, explaining that “since way back I always rapped with skill, and I ain’t like these other rappers, what I rap is real”; separating himself from the other rappers in his lane at present.
The Brixton rapper has been very busy all year, dropping off video after video and song after song, showcasing his technical rapping prowess as well as taking aim at some of his opps in both solo efforts and collaborations with other members of the 410 camp. This year has been quite prosperous for Syikes and I’m sure he’ll continue to thrive in the new year if he keeps the work rate as high as it was this year.
