Green Borough MC-turned-political activist Saskilla has dropped an energetic new video for ‘JD Bag’, directed by Ruby Seresin and Boya Dee. The song serves as the opening track on his latest project, Godson 1.5, which dropped back in May. It was produced by CREXTOR.
The new video sees the former Nu Brand Flexxx star spitting outside a high-rise block of flats, interwoven with clips of a youth football match and Labour Party canvassing. In the lyrics, he dissects today’s culture, offering witty critiques such as “Don’t need a man to tell me I’m great / They follow quotes in memes, they’re bait”. He also shouts out Streatham newcomer Dave as an artist who he currently rates.
Saskilla himself has added the song’s official lyrics to Genius, which you can check out here.
Godson 1.5 is available to buy now.
