Now its seems virtual reality is being pushed forward by porn.
Some of the biggest porn companies in the world are embracing this new tech which bring fans the ultimate adult experience.
Strapping these goggles to your face takes you to places you’ve never been and possibly won’t want to visit again.

The idea behind the concept is to make you feel like you’re part of the action with the star...or stars of the film appearing to be in the room with you.
And this vitual world doesn't leave anything to the imagination with every fantasy catered for.
One of the companies behind this new adult content is Badoink and they've just released an insight in to what goes on behind-the-scenes of a VR movie shoot.
With the lastest tech and 360-degree cameras they are able to film content that allows viewers to looks around inside a virtual world.
BaDoink VR chief executive Todd Glider said: "When you put it up to your eyes, and you start moving your head around and see how it tracks your head movement it's amazing how immersive it is.
"We were really blown away buy it, and this could be the next big thing."

Badoink is just one of many porn companies embracing this tech
Daily Star Online recently tested VR porn with four willing volunteers watching this hi-tech content.
Most were shocked by how real and surreal the experience was, but all agreed that VR is going to be a huge hit.
And the stats seem to agree that this is a growing market.
According to SimilarWeb the VR adult industry saw huge growth in 2015.
10 of the most popular VR pornography sites grew over 200% last year with around 3.2 million worldwide visits in October 2015 alone.
