Jenny Hval aims to start the New Year as she finished the old - with startling creativity.

The Scandinavian artist's 'Blood Bitch' won overwhelming critical acclaim in 2016, and new video 'The Great Undressing' will fuel this momentum.

Director Marie Kristiansen aims for an exploration of nudity, with the clip featuring a woman going about the ordinary activities of her day - except completely naked.

It's NSFW, obviously, with the director commenting:

“I don’t want to overcomplicate the message; it’s my opinion that the audience should interpret this film as it suits them. I will, however, tell you what inspired me to make the film. From an intellectual point of view I was intrigued by what would happen if you watched a naked woman totally ignorant about her own nudity going about a normal day. Would she be perceived as a sexual object? Or would her nakedness and femininity become something ordinary and natural? I have not tried to steer the film in the direction I thought was right, it´s more of an experiment that you should be the judge of. From a spiritual point of view the film explores loneliness and isolation in a world where capitalism and blending in are the two ruling factors.”

Sia "Never Give Up"

Sia's been showing off her penchant for soundtrack anthems with the recent release of "Angel by the Wings" from The Eagle Huntress and "Never Give Up" from Lion, and now the latter has been treated to an accompanying video.
 
In true Sia form, the latest clip features an expertly choreographed routine from young dancers sporting the singer's signature two-toned hairstyle and mysterious black masks.
 
They run through an abandoned train station, as snippets from the song's motivational lyrics appear in unlikely places. Watch the video for "Never Give Up" below.
 

Big Sean "Moves"

Big Sean's latest track "Moves" accompanied the announcement of I Decided, the follow-up to his 2015 LP Dark Sky Paradise. Now, the new single has got the music video treatment.

The clip starts with Sean busting a few moves alongside some dancers on a gradient background, but soon switches to darkness, only illuminated by his glowing chains and the figure of a woman that he dances atop.

I Decided is set to arrive on February 3 through G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam. Watch the video for "Moves" in the player below.

Ab-Soul "Womanogamy"

Ab-Soul got his long-awaited third LP Do What Thou Wilt out before 2016 came to a close and has picked up where he left off on his steady stream of music video releases with a clip for "Womanogamy."

The clip opens with Soulo rolling up to the club in a fancy car, cutting the line for an evening of festivities with scantily clad women (there are some NSFW angles, don't say we didn't warn you.) Those left outside go to great lengths to get in, with one even dressing up like Ab-Soul himself.

NxWorries "Sidepiece"

Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge came together to deliver one of our Top R&B/Soul Album of 2016 as NxWorries. In starting 2017, the pair have shared a new video for Yes Lawd! cut "Sidepiece."

The clip shows a studio session between the two musical partners, working in a wealth of animated overlays including lyric snippets, a blunt for the beatsmith on the laptop, and a couple of Betty Boop figures that sit on .Paak's microphone.
