The brand new music video to the Pull Up remix is here! All three artists have had a very successful year. With a collaboration we were not expecting, Afrobeats master Afro B (it’s all in the name), links up with UK Drill artists and 410 frontliners, Skengdo and AM to unveil their newest release, the remix to Pull Up. Afro B and the UK Drill duo’s collective work rates have been mad, releasing banger after banger throughout 2017.
Just a month ago Greenwich artist Afro B released the original version of Pull Up. Only a month later, now we are treated to something fresh as he recruits Skengdo and AM for the remix we’ve been hearing about. We’ve seen pictures of the artists together on Instagram and short clips teasing us – since then, people have been talking of a possible Skengdo, AM and Afro B collaboration.
Despite the pictures and rumours, this Skengdo and AM feature was unexpected, Afro B has in the past – joined forces with similar artists to himself, like Yxng Bane and Tion Wayne, but a collab with the UK Drill duo, has left us pleasantly surprised. Skengdo and AM completely switch things up; by jumping on the Afrobeat wave, which we have previously seen from fellow UK Drill, Harlam Spartans rapper Loski.
The song starts off with Afro B’s usual vibe, but it’s not long until joined by the duo, and suddenly the song takes an interesting turn, but surprisingly, it sounds sick. The video is introduced with Afro B being interrogated by two police officers and the lyrics reflect this, as he states he just wants to make money with his friends. We see these clips throughout the video along with all artists together turning up to the song.
