They were surrounded by people trying to make fashion statements.
But Chris Brown and his girlfriend Karrueche Tran have been accused of taking style too far - by wearing matching fur coats.
The on/off couple have been slammed by animal rights organisation PETA who accused Chris of "ugly violence" over his wardrobe choice.
The musician and his model girlfriend were spotted at the Michael Costello runway show at New York Fashion Week in what appeared to be giant fur coats.
The stars cuddled up to each other in the furry ensembles as they posed for pics with stars including Karrueche's BFF, singer Christina Milian.
Model Karrueche posted a snap of the trio to Instagram, along with the caption: "my two baes".
PETA US Senior Vice President Lisa Lange described the Forever rapper as "out of touch" for donning the large coat.
In a statement she said: "There are few things more out of touch than draping yourself in the skins of animals who were beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for their fur.
"P!nk's New York Fashion Week PETA US billboard shows that true beauty comes from kindness," she said, referencing the singer's naked campaign for a billboard in Times Square.
"Chris Brown's furs are just more of the same from him: ugly violence," she continued.
It comes after PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) slammed Kim Kardashian for dressing daughter North in what appeared to be a fur coat last week.
The organisation said that if the coat was real fur, Nori probably wouldn't want an animal to suffer.
We have contacted reps for Chris and Karrueche for comment.
