Lewisham’s finest, Reeko Squeeze joins forces with sick UK Drill producers, Carns Hill and Boom Blast to give us a release we’ve all been highly anticipating in OMG.
Reeko Squeeze has been around for years and has built an immense following from when he was in rap group Section Boyz. Since going solo, he has never disappointed with his flow and lyrics, he’s been consistent and has released banger after banger with artists like 67, AJ Tracey and Donaeo, to name a few.
He now presents to us, new track – OMG, and with Carns Hill and Boom Blast on the production, we know it’s going to be a gripping beat that will keep us immersed in the sonics throughout the song. Reeko Squeeze’s verses are deep, and the chorus to the song is catchy and fast. The storyline is based on life on the block and the means people have to go through to get where they want to go, even if it’s illegal. Reeko Squeeze brings these lyrics alive as we see him on the block in the visuals. At the start of the video, someone steals a valuable backpack from Reeko Squeeze, and by the end of it he gets it back by doing the same thing.
Visually, the video is cool and something we don’t usually see. It has an animated feel and the transitions between clips twist and turn, we see flashing lights, pixellated scenes, and bizarre camera shots and angles all brought to you by Lah Media.
