*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Despite her U.S. Girls moniker, Meg Remy calls Toronto home these days, and she recently revealed her latest LP Half Free. Now, she's unveiled a new set of visuals for album cut "Sororal Feelings," which you can watch right now.

The black-and-white video was filmed by Lulu Hazel Turnbull and edited by Remy herself. It captures Remy following her album cover photoshoot, having her luscious locks of hair chopped right off.

A press release notes that the clip "represents the artist's ongoing conversation with both gender and genre," while the song itself was loosely based on a character from Michael Ondaatje's Coming Through Slaughter. Remy describes the inspiration with a question: "What if you found out your husband slept with all of your sisters before choosing you?"

Watch the simple, yet dramatic video for "Sororal Feelings" below. Half Free is out now through 4AD
