Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga have poked fun at false reports that she mistook him for a waiter at the Grammys.
A fake Twitter account, slated as belonging to Ed, built momentum when it tweeted ‘I love @ladygaga. Spoke to her earlier and she mistook me for a waiter. Gotta love the #GRAMMYs. #INeedANewSuit? Aha.’
After some news outlets reported that the blunder was true, the pair obviously managed to take it on the chin as they joked about it with a selfie.
The snap, which was shared with 2.7 million Instagram followers, featured the flame-haired songwriter alongside the American singer.
In it Ed is giving two thumbs up while Gaga is showing off her most amazing pout.
The caption quipped: "Just bumped into gaga she's fetching me a drink. God bless the press."
So not only does the the Brit get to put the report behind him, but he also gets his drinks brought to him all night.
Good job, Ed.
While Gaga may have been in the mood for some fun and games then, she certainly wasn't by the time she got around to addressing the Kanye West/Beck Grammys situation.
The Fame Monster has become the latest star to chime into the debate after Kanye accused Beck of not 'respecting artistry'.
Coming to the latter's defence, the songstress took to Twitter to speak up.
She tweeted: "It is very strange to see people who don't know BECK or don't realize how important he is to music. He's a musical genius, listen to him."
