BELLE KNOX is a Libertarian?

Belle Knox may do Washington.
The famed Duke University porn star says she'd like to tackle politics as her next big career move after her overnight success as a celebrity film star.
The second-year college student, whose real name is Miriam Weeks, told Business Insider she's been heavily engaged in promoting libertarian views on her school's campus and hopes it'll carry her to a political career of her own one day.
"I'm conservative," Weeks said of her political standing. "I'm very socially liberal, but I'm very economically conservative."
Weeks said that it's not just her "very, very, conservative" Catholic background that shaped her political views, but the work she's done in the porn industry since famously outed last March as the erotic actress, Belle Knox.
But despite what one may think, she says her libertarian community members generally "respect" her background, not hold it against her.

"I think that it's actually helped me within the libertarian community because I think that people have been able to kind of look past it and they do respect it. And I think they also do respect it that I made it into more of an academic thing and more of an educational thing," she said.
That specifically is her public fight against social stigma over sex workers and how she used porn to pay for her $62,000-a-year tuition, loan-free.
But in a land where sexual scandals and leaked crotch shots often — but not always — prove lethal to any politician's career, the brunette beauty expressed fear that she may be too "radical" for Washington, even if she's already bared all.
"I'm kind of very radical or extreme on the spectrum I feel like and, obviously you have to appeal to the average person, but you never know," she said.
Weeks said she definitely plans to work in politics after completing college.
Other heroes of hers are Ayn Rand and economist Milton Friedman. Her immediate hopes include becoming a legal advocate for women, in addition to possibly running for office someday.
"If someone would want to have me as their campaign assistant I would love to do that," she said.
One politician she in particular has her eyes on is Republican Sen. Rand Paul who, with his father former Republican Congressman Ron Paul, is among her utmost political heroes.
On her school's Students for Liberty website, where she serves as campus coordinator, she also lists author Ayn Rand, economist Milton Friedman, feminist porn star Nina Hartley, and former call girl Maggie McNeil, as some of her "favorite figures in liberty.”
