Birmingham Grime veteran, Devilman makes a welcomed return to the game to bring us a fresh set of visuals to his Swifta Beater produced drop, China Town Freestyle. Of course we are treated to the signature Devilman flow and delivery as he reals off rhyme after rhyme laced with metaphors and similes that give us all that nostalgic feeling that early authentic Grime used to supply us with.
This is exactly what the doctor ordered if you’re a Grime fan that knows a little about the scene already, and was feeling to hear an old fan favourite shell down a cold new instrumental. Swifta Beater on the instrumental is a well established absolute monster with the beats too so this collaboration was one that was always destined to go down well with Grime heads of the now and the past.
After this one are you looking forward to hearing new music from Devilman? Is this new drop indicative of a forthcoming project from the veteran grime MC?
