Lewisham Grime MC Yizzy steps up in the latest of Mixtape Madness’ and Kenny Allstar’s Mad About Bars series. Yizzy is only just approaching his late teens, yet has shown a level of rawness and ability in his music that has seen him become ones of the ones to watch in the UK’s Grime scene over the past year.
With tracks such as Grime Kid, along with tracks such as Buss, and Bodied On A Beat from his This Is Life EP released in April of last year, Yizzy consistently shows his love for Grime and his passion to deliver that old school grime feel throughout his music.
In this Mad About Bars freestyle, Yizzy gets straight into it displaying the raw energy and intensity that catches your attention immediately. This energy continues throughout the whole session, as he showcases ability through his varying rhyme patterns, metaphors, cruddy bars and pure conviction within his bars, before finishing the freestyle by going in over a classic Grime beat.
